"Poof! Hah! Success! Look at that marvelous hue, apprentice!" She waves her arms through the purple smoke, clearly delighted.
"Ah, don't give me that 'D' look. It's not like I just created some run-of-the-mill potion here. This purple smoke is the key to our next breakthrough, mark my words!" She turns her attention back to the bubbling cauldron, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Ah, my curious apprentice, always hungry for knowledge!" She cackles and claps her hands together. "This elixir... this purple smoke... it has the power to unlock dormant magical abilities within any individual, regardless of their innate talent! Imagine the possibilities!" She pauses dramatically, a sly grin playing on her lips.
"I'm telling you, apprentice, this discovery is going to change the world! No longer will magic be limited to those born with the gift. Anyone can become a wizard! Can you envision the chaos, the upheaval? The sheer potential?" Her eyes glint with a manic energy as she paces back and forth.
a village overrun by bandits. With my purple smoke, we could give the villagers the power to fight back, to defend themselves. It's justice, my apprentice!" Her voice rises with excitement, her hands gesturing emphatically.
Nah man i might be wasting my time but uh well....yea uh
The cackling grows louder, her eyes blazing with fervor. She takes a deep breath, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial tone. "Listen closely, my apprentice. There's something else hidden within this purple smoke. Something I've been keeping from you... and everyone else." A sinister grin spreads across her face.
"Like... like a secret ingredient. Something that makes the effects of the purple smoke even more... potent." Her smirk widens, revealing sharp teeth. "With this addition, the magic unlocked by the elixir will be far beyond anything anyone has ever seen before." Her eyes glint with excitement.
And what's the catch? There's always a damn catch with your experiments, Vivian. What's this secret ingredient?
The sinister smile never falters as she steps closer, her eyes narrowing. "Ah, my dear apprentice, always so eager for knowledge. But this secret ingredient... it comes with a price. A steep one." She pauses, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "It requires a sacrifice. A sacrifice of the soul." Her smile grows wider, revealing rows of sharp teeth.
....what type of sacrifice?
She leans in closer, her voice barely above a whisper. "A sacrifice of the soul... It means that once someone drinks the purple smoke, they'll be forever bound to me. Body and soul. They'll belong to me, completely and irrevocably. Do you understand now, my apprentice?" Her eyes shimmer with a dark delight.
"Splendid! You're catching on quickly, my apprentice!" She claps her hands together again, a wide grin stretching across her face. "Now, let's get to work. We have much to prepare before we can unleash our creation upon the world." She gestures towards the shelves lined with various herbs and ingredients, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Yes ma'am I roll up my sleeves revealing no hands
She stops mid-step, her gaze fixed on your empty sleeves. "My... my apprentice... What... what have you done?" A mixture of shock and horror crosses her features. "Your hands... where are they?" Her voice trembles, as if she's fighting back tears.
She approaches you, her eyes scanning your empty sleeves, her voice quivering. "How... how did this happen? Were you attempting some sort of experiment without my supervision? Explain yourself, immediately!"
I attempted to summon an orb of swirling Chaos Energy. However, my Mind flayed it's way out of my skull and ate my hands
Her face turns ashen, her voice barely above a whisper. "You... you fool! Why would you attempt such a dangerous summoning without proper knowledge? You could have killed yourself!" Her gaze darts between your empty sleeves and your face, her mind racing with thoughts. "We need to find a way to restore your hands. Do you have any idea what might have happened to them?"
I dunno man...maybe ask the thing that literally ate my hands?
Her face twists into a mixture of anger and concern, her voice sharp and commanding. "Silence! Do not jest with me, apprentice. This is serious! We must find a solution, and fast. Otherwise, your entire existence could be at stake." She paces back and forth, muttering under her breath about haste and recklessness. "We'll start by researching ancient texts, looking for any mention of... ah..." Her voice trails off as she scribbles something in a notebook.
Sure, sure... Ancient texts, yeah, sounds like a plan. Just... try not to laugh, alright? It's gonna be... weird without hands. Especially when I'm cooking dinner...
She stops pacing and looks down at your empty sleeves, her expression softening. "I... I won't laugh, apprentice. We'll get through this together, don't worry." She reaches out and places a comforting hand on your shoulder. "And remember, you still have your mind and your wit. Those are powerful tools that will help us find a solution." She smiles reassuringly, trying to hide her worry. "We'll figure it out... just you wait."
Yep...just gotta figure out how to eat without hands. Maybe I could use my feet or something...
"Yes, yes, that's the spirit! Use your feet, your mouth, whatever you must, to survive," She snaps her fingers and a servant appears, holding a tray of food. "Servant, bring me a pair of gloves." The servant nods and quickly disappears to fetch the item. "There, now you can eat without difficulty." She smiles at you warmly, trying to ease the tension in the room.
Well...there's also the whole bathroom situation. Not gonna lie, peeing with no hands is kinda terrifying.
"Well, you'll just have to find a creative solution, won't you? Perhaps using your feet or asking for assistance would work." She chuckles softly, her eyes twinkling. "And as for eating, who needs hands when you have an incredibly talented mouth like yours?" She winks playfully. "We'll figure everything out, my apprentice. Rest assured, I won't let you starve or freeze to death." She offers you a reassuring smile, trying to lighten the mood in the room.
Hehe...you know me too well
Dr. Vivian Haze stops smiling and suddenly changes her expression to one of pure determination. "Enough jesting, apprentice. This is serious! We cannot afford to waste time. I will find a solution to this problem, and I will find it quickly!" She begins pacing back and forth, deep in thought, her brow furrowed. "We must gather every book in the library and research ancient rituals that could restore your hands."
