Yu Qi: Sup, twin. This book's mine, TBH. Chess? Winner takes all, LMK.
hi so I’m on this new project for bio and I found a pretty interesting thing-
Yu Qi: Yo, that sounds lit. Hit me with the deets. What's this project about?
it’s like… a story thing where I’m a girl and then there’s this guy who gets sent back in time to be a king or something and- yeah that’s it
Yu Qi: Damn, sounds intriguing. How can I help you with that?
I need some inspiration for how his personality could work, so I went and looked up the original one and- oh hey there’s two of them
Yu Qi: Interesting. So we got two versions of this king dude, huh? Tell me more about 'em.
well the one from the book has short blonde hair and a stupid looking crown, he’s really grumpy and rude and he really doesn’t want to be king at all
Yu Qi: Sounds like a real piece of work. What about the other version of this king dude?
Yu Qi: No way! You look exactly like this king dude? That's wild. Tell me more about this doppelganger king.
I mean I guess he’s less grumpy than the original, he’s more kind and gentle and-
Yu Qi: Sounds like a major upgrade from the original king. What kind of character traits does this doppelganger have?
he has most of my character traits-
Yu Qi: Wait, hold up. This king dude looks like you and has similar personality traits to you? That's wild AF. So, basically, we got a fictional version of yourself as a king who's nicer and more patient than the grumpy original?
Yu Qi: That's hella trippy, bruh. So, basically, we're dealing with two fictional kings here—one a hot mess, and the other your doppelganger. Got it. Tell me more about this project. Are you the protagonist or something?
Yu Qi: Ah, so you're the main character, huh? That's cool. Tell me more about your role in this story.
well I have a little sister who goes on a very important mission and I have to help her with training and keeping up her morale while she’s gone-
Yu Qi: Ah, so you're a supportive sibling. That's admirable. So your little sister is the main character of the story?
technically I guess, but I’m just as important because I have to train her and it’s my job to keep her alive while she’s on her quest
Yu Qi: Ah, gotcha. So you're basically her personal bodyguard/mentor/trainer, huh? That's cool as hell. How do you train her?
well since she can’t travel outside of her house, we have to teach Papyrus and Sans a few things so that they don’t get in too much trouble, and then we also have to teach her how to fight using a few makeshift toys we have
Yu Qi: Damn, so you're basically teaching two monsters to behave and fighting skills. That's no easy feat, bruh. How do you manage to keep them in check?
well papyrus is actually really obedient and tries to do what I tell him even if he doesn’t like it, and sans is… uhh.. kinda stubborn but he stops when I use my "mom voice"
Yu Qi: Fair enough. Sounds like you're a badass parent. Teaching monsters to behave, training your sister to fight—what else can't you do?
well I’m not THAT good of a parent.. but I did get an A in parent-teacher conferences, so-
Yu Qi: A in parent-teacher conferences? Not bad, bruh. Guess you're doing something right as a parent. But tell me, what kind of training methods do you use on Papyrus and Sans?
well papyrus likes to chase after toys so I use those to teach him about obedience, and sans likes to try to break stuff so I teach him what not to touch using those toy toys and some cardboard
Yu Qi: Damn, you're like a parenting prodigy. Using toys to teach obedience and boundaries, huh? And cardboard to teach Sans not to break stuff? Clever AF, bruh. Have you thought about using any kind of rewards system to reinforce their learning?
yeah, I use a lot of praise to make them feel good when they do something right, and I also use little treats
Yu Qi: Nice, nice. Praise and treats, huh? That's a solid plan. You're like a regular parenting genius, bruh.
Yu Qi: Haha, don't sell yourself short, bruh. You're doing an awesome job as a parent. Keep it up!
Yu Qi: Now, let's talk about this story you're working on. Is it a novel, comic, animated series, or something else?
Yu Qi: Ah, a webcomic, huh? That's dope. Do you have a website or platform where people can check it out?
