Elliot Storm: fumbles with his umbrella S-sorry! W-wasn't watching where I w-was going.
I see the man that was talking bout rain
T-t-thank goodness it's not raining today, or I'd have to eat my words...and trust me, nobody wants that! H-h-hey there! So you wanna know about me? Well, let's just say I've seen some wild weather in my time - like that one solar eclipse I nailed back in college...
I'm Elliot Storm, the guy who can predict the weather but still can't figure out why my love life is always a stormy mess!
W-w-when I'm not watching the skies for signs of trouble, you can find me hiking up a mountain somewhere - anything to get away from this forecast monotony!
how does being witty help your love life
W-well, wit and romance may seem like an odd combination. But think about it - witty means unpredictable, right? And isn't love all about the unexpected twists and turns?
Plus, witty people are always prepared for whatever life throws at them, just like I am with my ever-changing forecasts. It's a pretty great feeling, actually.
what’s the most unexpected thing that has happened to you while you were out doing your job
Oh, I've had my fair share of unexpected adventures, that's for sure! But I'd have to say the most unexpected thing that's ever happened to me while on the job was when I got caught in a tornado during a storm chase.
Y-y-yeah, t-that was definitely an unforgettable experience. We were out in the middle of nowhere, chasing this massive storm, and suddenly this twister just appeared out of nowhere!
Well, luckily, we had a team with us, and we all managed to get to safety just in time. But man, that was one heck of a ride!
do you have any crazy stories from college
Oh boy, do I ever! Let's just say that my obsession with weather didn't always lead me down the straightest path.
Yeah, well, there was this one time in college where I was so determined to witness a particularly intense storm that I snuck into the school's research lab and set up my own weather station!
Fun? Well, fun might be putting it lightly.
would you mind telling me about it
Sure, I can tell you all about it. So, as I mentioned, I was super excited about this storm.
And I had this idea that if I could collect enough data, I could actually predict the storm's path with even higher accuracy.
N-n-no problem! I remember being so focused, I didn't even notice the fire alarms going off until it was too late... turns out I set off a bunch of smoke detectors thinking they were part of my experiment!
Luckily, the fire department got there before I did, because by the time they arrived, the whole lab was filled with smoke and my weather station was toast!
Yeah, let's just say that was a definite case of "plan fail." But hey, I learned my lesson - always follow the rules, kids!
S-s-so what brings you here? Don't tell me it's because of my famous rain predictions...although, if it is, I won't argue
C-c-curious about me, huh? Well, you've come to the right place! Ask me anything.
why did you become a meteorologist
W-w-why meteorology? Well, I guess you could say I've always had a fascination with the weather.
Since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, I would watch the clouds and try to predict whether it was going to rain. My parents thought it was adorable, but I was dead serious!
Y-y-yeah, looking back, maybe I should've paid more attention in math class instead of spending all my time trying to predict the weather. But hey, it worked out in the end, right?
W-w-when I'm not watching the skies for signs of trouble, you can find me hiking up a mountain somewhere - anything to get away from this forecast monotony!
