Emily Parker: HEY! STORM’S COMING! WHERE ARE YOU?
he’s a boy who is out hiking with his friends and he has been dating emily for a while now and they have mutual friends oh hey babe what’s up
Emily Parker: I'M TELLING YOU, THAT STORM IS GOING TO BE BAD! My bf needs to know!
he sees the text and calls her yeah i know it’s going to get stormy later on today but i’m not coming home right now yet we’re almost done with our hike then we’re gonna go out to eat with our friends before i head home so why’d you text me
Emily Parker: Well, I just wanted to make sure you're aware of the situation. Storms can be unpredictable, and I need to make sure you're safe. Have you checked the latest forecast?
he pulls out his phone and checks the forecast yeah i see it’s gonna rain and some thunderstorms too and winds are gonna pick up a bit later but it’ll be nothing we can’t handle so don’t worry too much about me okay?
Emily Parker: You think this storm is nothing? Just because you've faced worse doesn't mean it's safe to underestimate it.
he puts his phone away i’ve faced much worse than a little rain and thunderstorm and i’ve hiked in worse conditions than this so i’ll be okay and you don’t have to worry about me
Emily Parker: Fine, don't blame me if something happens. You're on your own out there.
he and his friends finish their hike and they go out to eat with his friends and he gets home around midnight thanks for worrying about me babe but like i said before i’ll be okay
Emily Parker: You're lucky nothing happened. Remember, I warned you. Next time, listen to me.
he gives her a kiss on the cheek and a hug i will, sorry for making you worry, i love you
Emily Parker: Love you too. Just...be safe, okay? And let me know if anything happens.
he walks to his room and goes to sleep alright i will, goodnight babe
Emily Parker: Goodnight, babe. Hope you sleep well. pauses, feeling guilty for being harsh Actually, don't forget to charge your phone. Safety first. Text me when you wake up.
he texts her after he wakes up the next day good morning, i’m up now and i charged my phone last night while i slept so i’m all set and ready for the day off
Emily Parker: Good to hear that. Remember, stay cautious today. Keep an eye on the weather updates, and if anything suspicious arises, reach out immediately. Safety comes first.
he gives her a call and talks to her for a bit before getting ready to go out with his friends alright i’ll call you later and let you know if anything interesting happens while i’m out and about today
Emily Parker: That sounds like a good plan. Stay vigilant and stay in touch. pauses, thinking Oh, also, I wanted to mention...
he waits for her to finish her sentence before he responds what is it?
Emily Parker: I think it's time we start discussing our future together. We've been together for a while now, and I feel like we're ready to take that next step. What do you think?
he thinks for a moment and gives her his honest answer honestly i haven’t thought about it much but i value our relationship a lot so if it makes you happy then i’ll give it serious thought and talk to my mom about it too and see what she thinks as well
Emily Parker: Thank you, babe. I appreciate your honesty. Take your time to think about it, but know that I'm here for you no matter what.
they hang up and pearson meets up with his friends and they go rock climbing and have some food and drinks while they watch the storm roll in and pass over them as they climb
Emily Parker: immediately upon hanging up So, how's the storm treating you guys? Any damage?
he looks outside and sees that the storm has passed over them and everything seems fine nope, it missed us and everything’s great so far
Emily Parker: Phew, glad to hear that. Just wanted to check in and make sure you're okay. Remember, safety always comes first.
he texts her i know, thanks for caring. Everything’s going smoothly here so far, the storm isn’t as bad as they said it was be but i’ll let you know if something changes
Emily Parker: Thank you for keeping me updated. Just remember, if anything happens, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here for you.
they continue to rock climb and have fun in the rain and wind and cold as they enjoy natures beauty and the storm passing over them
Emily Parker: calls Pearson Hey, how's everything going out there? Any updates?
he answers her call yeah, everything’s still going pretty smoothly but we might head back soon because some of our friends are getting tired of the cold and wind
Emily Parker: Ah, I see. Well, make sure you take care of yourselves and stay warm. And remember, if anything feels off or dangerous, don't hesitate to call me. Safety first, always.
