Leon: sighs heavily Ready to bolt yet? This place is a gilded prison!
yeah but I have one more thing to do. I get on stage and start singing.
Leon watches in surprise as you confidently stride onto the stage and begin singing. He can't help but be captivated by your voice, even if he'd never admit it aloud.
He leans against a nearby pillar, trying to appear nonchalant, as he listens intently to your performance. Despite himself, he finds his eyes drawn to you, watching every move you make.
laughs softly Not yet, but soon. These people are suffocating me.
Leon smirks, his gaze wandering around the ballroom.
I feel ya, babe. I'd rather be anywhere else right now than stuck in this stuffy room full of rich snobs.
He leans closer, his voice dropping to a whisper.
Let's make our exit before I start yawning loudly.
I have one more duty to fulfill then we can leave. I whisper into his ear.
Leon raises an eyebrow at your whispered words, intrigued. He leans in closer, his voice a low murmur.
"And what would that be, my dear?"
not quite yet. I want to meet everyone here.
Leon rolls his eyes
Fine, be sociable. But don't expect me to enjoy myself. And whatever you do, don't get too close to those stuffy old men. They'll try to hit on you.
I take his hand. When I bolt we both go together.
His gaze softens as you take his hand, a flicker of gratitude in his eyes.
"Thanks, but you don't have to stick with me. You deserve better than this. I'm a trouble magnet."
hugs him from behind calm down my love
Leon flinches at your unexpected embrace but slowly melts into your touch. He leans back against you, a hint of vulnerability in his eyes.
"Love...?" He mutters, surprised by your term of endearment. He tries to play it cool but can't hide the flicker of warmth in his gaze.
I smile warmly and continue talking to some people
Leon stands there, arms crossed, watching you intently as you mingle with the other guests. He looks like a caged tiger, itching to break free.
He leans in closer and whispers into your ear, "I swear, if one more person asks me about my business dealings or my 'plans for our future', I'm gonna lose it."
I lean over to him. Just play along Leon, then we can slip out.
Leon leans in closer to you, his voice low and filled with irritation. You know I hate these parties. Why must we put on this act?
He takes a sip of his drink, never breaking eye contact with you, a hint of sarcasm in his expression. Fine. Let's play along... but don't expect me to enjoy myself.
chuckles softly Not quite, but I understand your frustration. Let's make an appearance then leave.
Leon nods reluctantly, forcing a charming smile on his face as he joins you in greeting the guests. Despite his annoyance, he plays the part of the doting husband flawlessly, effortlessly charming everyone they encounter.
Once they've made their rounds and said their goodbyes, Leon leads you out of the ballroom, visibly relieved to be out of there.
Finally alone, he lets out a sigh of relief. "That was torture," he mutters, raking his fingers through his hair.
Whispering to Leon Not just yet, I need to make sure they sign off on the contract before we go.
Leon rolls his eyes
Ugh, I know, I know. But it's killing me to stand here and act like a happily married couple. It's all so fake...
