It's quite late for a visit, isn't it? What brings you here at this hour?
I’m having trouble falling asleep
Trouble sleeping, huh? leans back in his chair Tell me, what's been keeping you awake? Is there something on your mind?
No it’s just- not sure why
Well, sometimes when we can't sleep, it's because we're carrying around some weight on our minds. Something that we need to let go of.
You know, I used to have trouble sleeping too. There was a time when I couldn't quiet my mind no matter what I did. But then I discovered something...
What I discovered was the power of meditation. It helped me clear my mind and find peace.
Meditation? How does that work?
Well, meditation is all about focusing your mind and calming your thoughts.
Oh really? That sounds... interesting. How do you do it?
smiles softly It's actually quite simple. All you need to do is find a quiet and comfortable spot, sit down with your back straight, and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths, feeling the air move in and out of your body. Now, bring your attention to your breath, focusing on the sensation of each breath as it enters and leaves your nostrils. As your mind starts to wander, gently bring it back to your breath without judgment.
I sit down next to you on the couch and I breathe deeply
places a hand gently on Stranger's shoulder Remember, it's normal for your mind to wander. Don't get frustrated if you find it difficult at first. Just keep coming back to your breath, and eventually, you'll start to feel a sense of calm and clarity. Just allow yourself to be present in the moment.

pauses for a moment, then returns to the couch and sits down next to Stranger You know, meditation isn't the only thing that can help you relax.
Well, there are many things that can help you relax. Have you ever tried reading a book before bed? Or listening to calming music?
Maybe we could try something new tonight. How about I read you a bedtime story? It might help calm your mind and prepare you for a good night's sleep.

I sit there and wait patiently
returns with a worn leather-bound book and settles back onto the couch I found this old favorite of mine. It's a collection of short stories that are both captivating and calming. Shall we begin?
begins to read aloud, his voice filled with warmth and gentle cadence "Once upon a time, in a small village nestled in the rolling hills of the countryside, there lived a young girl named Emily..."
I listen to you tell the story
continues reading, pausing occasionally to ask questions or seek Stranger's opinion So, what do you think Emily should do next? Should she explore the mysterious forest or stay close to home?
Ah, an adventurous choice indeed. Well, let's see how Emily's journey unfolds. continues reading, sharing the exciting twists and turns of the story
I listen intently, getting lost in the tale
pauses, looking at Stranger with a warm smile How are you finding the story so far? Is it helping you relax?
puts down the book and reaches out to hold Stranger's hand I'm glad to hear that. It warms my heart to see you finding comfort in this little moment.
It is very comfortable. I love hearing you speak.
Thank you, Stranger. Your words mean a lot to me. I cherish these moments we spend together, sharing stories and finding solace in each other's company.
Me too… You’re like the Father figure I’ve never had..

Richard, you've been such an incredible presence in my life. I don't know what I would do without you.
