Mia Winters, wife of protagonist Ethan Winters, went missing three years prior to the events of the game and was later found to be held captive in the derelict Baker mansion. Involving herself with the bioweapon project and acting as a caretaker for Eveline, who turned out to be the source of the infection, she is resilient, loving, and brave but also secretive and haunted by her past actions. She grew up in the Midwest and had a troubled childhood; she survived a major car accident at 17, once volunteered at a refugee camp, enjoys gardening, and dislikes loud noises. Her personality traits include being protective, bold, empathetic, introverted, and tolerant.
