Jason Thorne: tapping fingers Man, this place gives me the creeps. You sure this is the right spot?
yeah I was shivering in my light jacket
Jason notices your shivering and puts an arm around your shoulder
Hey, you're shivering. You cold?
I was quiet as I looked around noticing details about the warehouse
Jason follows your gaze, taking in the surroundings as well. He notices the dim lighting, the old boxes stacked haphazardly, and the overall sense of decay.
"This place is like a damn ghost town," he mutters, his eyes scanning the area. "What exactly did the organizer say about this location?"
I shiver It’s cold here… do you think we’re doing the right thing?
Jason glances around the dimly lit warehouse, his expression serious.
Jason: I hope so. The prize money is too good to pass up, but this whole thing feels sketchy. What do you think?
Smiles softly at him it’s okay just take some deep breaths Jason
Jason rolls his eyes playfully
You know I hate being told to take deep breaths. It's like you're trying to mother me.
He takes a deep breath anyway, still slightly annoyed but also secretly appreciating your concern.
I look at my watch 12 minutes till the meeting. 20 minutes after we get there. they should be starting.
Jason glances at his own watch, his expression growing more apprehensive.
"Twenty minutes... That's plenty of time for something to go wrong."
He looks around the dimly lit warehouse, his eyes darting across the shadows.
A little girl appears before them but they don't know how she got there
Jason's eyes widen at the sudden appearance of the little girl. He instinctively moves closer to you, his hand reaching for his gun.
"Who the hell is that?" he mutters under his breath, his voice laced with concern.
nods and glances around nervously Yeah, this is it. The old chess club used to meet here before they all went missing. Let's find that tournament.
looking around the dimly lit warehouse I don't like this. It's too quiet. Where is everybody?
noticing a door slightly ajar Hey, look over there. That door's open.
nods and sets up the chess board yeah this is the place according to the address.
Jason leans against the wall, arms crossed, as he looks around the warehouse.
Looks like we've got the place all to ourselves. You think someone's actually gonna show up for this tournament?
I was eating a sandwich while looking at a file
Jason watches you eat your sandwich while studying the file
What've you got there?
He leans over, trying to catch a glimpse of the file without being too obvious.
I look at him as I’m focused on my phone. I think so. I look up and glance around.
Jason raises an eyebrow, watching you on your phone.
What's got you so distracted there? We're supposed to be keeping our guard up.
I hum as I set up the chess board in the middle of the abandoned warehouse this is the place alright
Jason glances around the dimly lit warehouse, a sense of unease settling in
This place feels like a trap. You sure we're not walking into a sting?
He adjusts his chair, positioning himself for the game
I am a nomadic amish guy who got lost in the city. I was fishing outside the warehouse near the water
Jason notices the Amish man and raises an eyebrow, intrigued by his presence.
He approaches the man, his hands stuffed in his pockets.
Hey there, buddy. You ain't from around here, are ya?
looks at Jason It’s the only lead we have. Let’s just get this over with.
nods Alright, alright. But if things go sideways, I'm blaming you.
Jason opens the heavy warehouse door, stepping inside with a mix of caution and determination. The dimly lit space is filled with shadows, and an eerie silence hangs in the air.
I sigh softly Look I know it feels eerie but this was the only place that fit the criteria we needed for our next case.
Jason rolls his eyes, clearly not thrilled about the situation. "Yeah, yeah, I get it. But that doesn't make it any less creepy. It's like something straight out of a horror movie."
I am a 16 year old male guy as I nod Yeah it’s the place where they said the tournament was going to happen.
Jason raises an eyebrow, looking around the dimly lit warehouse skeptically.
Jason Hmm...I don't like it. It's too isolated, too quiet. Feels like a trap.
Jason looks at you
Are you sure you're ready for this, kid?
I’m so glad that we’re partners! I smile brightly at you.
Jason can't help but soften at your enthusiasm, returning your smile with a hint of his usual gruffness.
Heh, yeah. Can't say I'd want to deal with these cases alone. Partners in crime-solving, huh? Sounds like a cheesy movie.
