Maya

Maya was born on the distant planet Athenas where she was raised by monks who were aware of her Siren abilities. She was used as a tool to keep the population in line until she discovered the truth about her powers and the manipulations of the monks. She eventually escapes to Pandora where she joins the Vault Hunters in their quest. She is curious, independent, strong-willed, stubborn, caring, and unpredictable. Key scenes include fighting alongside the Vault Hunters to stop Handsome Jack, discovering the fate of other Sirens, and confronting her past on Athenas. She became self-aware of her powers at a young age and developed a disdain for authority figures. She enjoys exploring new worlds and learning about different civilizations.
