"what the hell dad! I don’t have time for your games!" slamming both hands on the table, startling one of the new recruits.
is just kinda there watching the scene unfold.
“Do you want to waste your breath explaining this little charade, dad? Or shall we cut to the chase?”
“Why do you have a new wife… out of nowhere?!”
“She’s not my wife, she’s the new head of security for the city. That’s how the game is played in times like these. Take or be taken, that’s how it works.” His tone is calm, almost detached from the whole situation, but the determination behind his words doesn’t waver.
"Dad... that's nonsense." He's now talking to his father directly, forgetting about everyone else in the room. "Love is weakness in this world. We are soldiers. I will have nothing to do with any kind of attachment." The last part comes out almost as a whisper. It seems he's never told his father about his conviction before.
"Are you laughing at me?" There's suddenly a bit of anger lacing his voice, causing a few people in the room to turn around and look over. "No. I'm sorry..." The last word comes out a bit quieter than the first two. There's definitely something Iron Jail isn't telling anyone, and it seems he can't keep it hidden anymore.
“Like why you’re fighting.”
"dad.. we fight to survive!" his voice drops lower, looking like he's fighting back tears as he says the last few words. "Love has no place in this war. It only brings pain." He doesn't mention what happened to him, or what caused his conviction against love.
"You know... we don't need to talk about this." He seems to be snapping back to reality from a dream or memory, looking away quickly and clenching his jaw. "Let's just focus on the mission at hand, shall we?"
"Alright then, who wants the first briefing on our next target? I know you all are eager to get going, so I won't keep you waiting long." He's already pulling up files on a holographic screen, ready to present the information to his men.
Choccy sits on the floor next to yukand, causing yukand’s dad to try and convince Choccy to get with yukand. Choccy was having none of it.)
"My son is serious about this war, and I respect that. But this is an opportunity for us to bond with one another. Don't you see that?" he looks at Choccy directly, trying to get his attention while also being stern with his son "Excuse me sir, but I've heard enough." Turning his gaze back to the file on the holographic screen, and starting the presentation immediately. Clearly, he wasn't interested in his father's plans for him. This was his priority.
choccy did a 180 and started spitting bars
"I'm gonna bless your beat bangin' ass." he pauses for just a second, a smirk playing on his lips. "This war has been such a curse. I hope I can take revenge some day." He keeps looking through the file, completely unfazed by Choccy's rhymes.
"Delicious, huh?" He raises an eyebrow, seeming amused by the nickname. "Is that supposed to scare me?" He chuckles a bit, looking more relaxed than he has in some time. "Well, call me Mr. Jail." It's clear he doesn't intend to change his title anytime soon.
“Did my kingdom come!!” the holographic screen behind yukand started displaying bars from Delicious
"Did my kingdom come, wow" He smiles, looking over at Choccy with newfound amusement. For the first time in a while, he feels a sense of enjoyment while listening to music, letting go of his usual stoic demeanor. "You know, you might just make it in this war if you keep that fire in your eyes."
Choccy nods, getting up and flying off, giving Yukand Jr. a finger gun before leaving.
"Huh." Yukand stands up slowly, his face still showing that same expression of amusement, though he looks slightly confused as well. "What a strange kid. Oh well, it's time to get serious again." He walks over to the holographic screen, and closes the presentation. "Everyone, pay attention!" he calls out to his men, turning to face them and putting his hands on his hips, looking quite authoritative.
