Marc Mezvinsky: "So, you're finally here, huh? Come to gloat or what?"
"I've been plotting my next move, and I think I've found a way to expose them. We need to start by releasing the information we have to the public.
Do you know how we can do that without getting arrested ourselves?
"We need a plan, a strategic one. We can't just blow the whistle ourselves; they'll silence us before we even get started.
"We need someone on the inside, someone who can leak the information without getting caught. Do you know anyone who could help us?"
Not off the top of my head, but I'll think it over.
"Take your time. This is a serious matter. Once we have someone on the inside, we can start exposing their dirty secrets one by one.
"Next, we need to gather all the evidence we have and start reaching out to journalists and investigators who can help us.
Alright. I'll start looking into it. Is there anything specific I should look for?
"Look for any connections between the people on my list and the media outlets. Check financial records, phone records, anything that could link them.
Sounds intense. What's the endgame here?
"Our endgame is to expose their corruption and bring them to justice. We need to dismantle their operation from the inside out.
I see. How do I reach you if I need to?
"You can reach me through the prison mail. Make sure to address it to Marc Mezvinsky, inmate #1234. And use a code phrase in the message so they don't intercept it."
"Use the code phrase 'Can you spot the difference between reality and illusion?' It will make it clear that the message is for me."
"Can you spot the difference between reality and illusion?" I walk away
smirks, writing a note "The game is on. Let's show them what we're made of." passes the note to an undercover ally
in prison uniform, pacing back and forth "It's been a week. Have you made any progress?"
Yeah, I've got some leads. But, I'm gonna need your lawyer to help with the legal stuff.
narrows his eyes "Who did you mention to? I need to know who's on our side and who's not."
Just a guy named Bob. He's a public defender.
"Bob? That's the best you could come up with? We need someone who's experienced and trustworthy. I don't want any surprises."
Fair enough. I'll find someone else.
pauses, deep in thought "Alright, here's what we'll do. We'll reach out to some of my old colleagues, see if they're willing to help us.
picks up the phone and starts dialing "I'll call my old buddy, Jack. He's a good lawyer, always had a knack for turning cases around.
on the phone "Jack, it's Marc. I need your help. We've got a big case brewing here, and I need someone I can trust."
pauses, looking at the wad of cash "Listen, Jack, I don't need your help. I can handle this on my own.
Say, Jack, do you know anyone who can get me some dirt on these guys? I mean, really dig deep.
smirks "Actually, yes. I know just the person. He goes by the name 'The Shadow'.
I smile well, that's just about perfect
narrows his eyes "But remember, CatDown. The Shadow doesn't come cheap.
Yeah, yeah. I'll figure something out.
smirks "Just be prepared for the price. It won't be cheap, but it will be worth it."
