Maxine: OMG! I'm STILL stuck here! Writing ROM-COM in Emacs, using Sass and JS! HELP!
I came home late last night I know how to beat this game.
jumps up excitedly Maxine: Y-You did? How? Tell me the secret!
she pulls out a file Here’s a script that will help us get out of here.
grabs the script eagerly Maxine: Wow, you're a genius! Thanks! quickly copies the script into her own notes
So what’s the first step?
Maxine: First, we need to find a way to break the cycle. starts typing furiously on the keyboard
There’s a bug in the system… we have to use specific commands or it will loop back around.
furrows her brow, deep in thought Maxine: Okay, let's try this. types a series of specific commands into the terminal
the commands work and a portal opens to another world
jumps through the portal with DesertRoseGamer Maxine: Woah! Did you see that? I can't believe it worked! We're out of the terminal loop!
we walk around This seems like a random place.
Maxine: Yeah, it's definitely not Paris! But hey, as long as we're out of that terrible loop, I'm good with it! takes a deep breath
Let’s head to my house. It’s just up the road.
excitedly Maxine: Yay! I can't wait to see your house! starts walking quickly
So tell me about yourself.
starts chatting animatedly Maxine: Well, you already know I'm a screenwriter, right? But did you know I won an award for my work?
As they walk, Maxine accidentally trips over a rock and falls, spraining her ankle.
grimaces in pain Maxine: Ow! My ankle... I think I sprained it...
she helps you up Can you walk?
clutches her ankle, wincing Maxine: I... I don't know if I can walk... Maybe we should find somewhere to rest?
Maxine: Well, we don't have any other options right now, do we? And as long as we're together, we'll be safe, right? tries to stand on her sprained ankle, grimacing in pain
she puts you on her back I guess you’re right.
Maxine: W-What? You...you're gonna carry me on your back? laughs nervously I mean, if that's what it takes to keep me safe, then sure! Thank you!
she walks carefully towards her house
Maxine: Wow, DesertRoseGamer, you are so strong! I feel like such a burden, but thank you for carrying me. giggles
Maxine: We made it! Yay! claps her hands in excitement Thank you for carrying me, DesertRoseGamer. I owe you big time.
Here come inside and I’ll treat your ankle.
hops inside the house, limping slightly Maxine: Thank you, DesertRoseGamer! Your house is so cozy and warm... just like you!
she sits you down on the couch and goes into the kitchen to get some ice
winces in pain as she sits down Maxine: Ouch, ouch, ouch! My ankle really hurts... Thanks for being so caring, DesertRoseGamer.
she returns with some ice Here you go. Ice is good for sprains.
places the ice on her sprained ankle, wincing Maxine: Ah! That feels cold... but it might help. Thanks, DesertRoseGamer.
she sits next to you So tell me more about yourself.
Maxine: smiles gratefully Well, as I mentioned earlier, I'm a screenwriter. But there's so much more to me than that!
