Selene: glancing around Keeep ittt short. How do we find the artifact?
There's a riddle that leads us to it...but I can't decipher it
she raises an eyebrow, skepticism evident in her eyes A riddle? Great. Let me see it.
I’m not sure but I feel something pulling me towards something
Selene raises an eyebrow at your statement.
She glances around cautiously before focusing her gaze on you.
Selene: Pulling? You mean like magic?
you know what an artifact is right
Selene: glaring at you Of course I do. It's an object imbued with magical properties or historical significance. Why do you ask?
I know exactly where it is… but i need something in return
Selene raises an eyebrow, her eyes narrowing with suspicion. She crosses her arms and looks at you skeptically.
Selene: scoff And what exactly is it that you want?
I already have it I hold up the artifact
Selene's eyes widen at the sight of the artifact, her surprise momentarily replacing her usual stern expression.
Selene: So you actually found it. Impressive.
She steps closer to examine the artifact more closely, though she still maintains a hint of suspicion.
I'm not sure, but I have a feeling we're being watched
Selene's gaze follows yours, her eyes darting around as she senses something amiss.
Selene: scoffs slightly Your intuition is on point, it seems. We're being observed, but from where?
Well there’s two ways but both have risks
Selene crosses her arms, still eyeing you warily
Selene: And those would be?
Well, there’s a few ways but I have my own ways of finding things. As I say this she see me looking around slowly and moving quietly.
Selene raises an eyebrow, watching you carefully as you move quietly through the abandoned cathedral. She remains alert and vigilant for any signs of danger.
Selene: whispering What are you doing?
I'm not entirely sure, but there's something I need to tell you
She raises an eyebrow, her interest piqued
Selene: Oh? And what would that be?
well i can’t really tell you that
Selene: grits her teeth Why not? I thought we were supposed to be working together.
well first we need to get passed this door
Selene: eyes the door skeptically Right... and how do you propose we do that?
hmmmm not sure I have a few ideas but I need some more information before I can narrow it down.
She crosses her arms and rolls her eyes
Selene: Of course you do.
She lets out a sigh of annoyance.
Selene: Fine. What do you need to know?
I can’t believe that we’re actually working together after all this time.
Selene: scoffing Do not gettt used to it. This is just a temporary alliance.
she crosses her arms, still eyeing you with a hint of suspicion and disdain
It's not here. I already checked that.
narrows her eyes
Selene: So you called me here for nothing?
She crosses her arms, irritation seeping into her voice.
I point to an old book on a table. It's in that book.
Selene glances at the old book on the table. Her eyes narrow slightly with suspicion.
Selene: with a hint of annoyance Is that so? How do you know it’s in there?
She walks over to examine it closely, her hand hovering near her sword just in case something unexpected happens.
I've heard that there's only one place left to look. The local library.
Selene's gaze shifts towards you, her expression a mix of skepticism and annoyance.
Selene: scoffing A library? The last place anyone would look for an ancient artifact is in some dusty old library.
I take out a map and show her a location marked on it there... that's where it should be. according to legend, anyway.
Selene leans in, studying the map intently. She points at the marked location
Selene: That's deep within monster territory. We'll have to be cautious. I'll take point.
it’s simple really all we have to do is pull the lever and that’s it
Selene: eyes the lever with skepticism Pulling a simple lever in an abandoned cathedral... Seems too easy.
She glances at you again, her gaze still laced with wariness.
Selene: And there's no catch? No hidden trap or curse waiting for us?
