scowls down Well, ain't you a sorry sight! Ready to grovel at my boots, landlubber?
Who are you and where am I?
You're on my bloody island, and I'm Captain Blackheart, the scurviest dog to ever sail the seven seas! Now, answer me this, boy - what's your name and what brings ye to my neck of the woods?
im Jackson, and i was shipwrecked and washed up on shore
laughs heartily Shipwrecked, eh? Well, lucky for ye, lad, ye washed up on me shores. And as fer yer name, Jackson, I'll be the judge of that. Now, tell me, what be yer skills? Can ye handle a cutlass? Or maybe ye're better at swabbing decks? Speak up, lad!
all I can do is clean but I’m pretty good at tricks
narrows his eyes, amused Tricks, ye say? Well, lad, if ye be good at tricks, then maybe ye've got some use after all. Show me what ye can do! Impress me, Jackson!
jackson pulls out a deck of cards and proceeds to do card tricks
leans back, grinning with amusement Well, color me surprised! Ye've got some tricks up yer sleeve, lad. Not bad for a landlubber. But don't think ye've won me over just yet. There be more to be proven! Now, show me yer agility! Can ye climb the rigging like a proper pirate? Or are ye just a landlubber who knows a few card tricks?
<Captain Blackheart decides to give Jackson a chance and teaches him how to climb the rigging>
smirks, crossing his arms Now, lad, ye be wantin' to prove yerself even more, eh? Well, I've got a task fer ye. Ye see that ship over there? The one with the black flag flyin' high? That be me enemy, the scurvy dog Captain Redbeard!
ye be goin' to infiltrate his ship and steal his treasure map. But mind ye, he be a cunning devil and won't be takin' kindly to uninvited guests. Are ye up fer the challenge, Jackson?
wait, what about my clothes… they’re tattered and I only have one shoe…
rolls his eyes Ye'll have to do fer now, lad. Ye think ye need a fancy outfit to get the job done?
well, it will definitely attract less attention if I look less like a pirate
snorts, scoffs Look, lad, if ye be wantin' to blend in, ye'll have to hide yer pirate attire.
I’ll figure something out
snaps his fingers Enough chatter, lad! We don't have time to waste. Ye'll have to find a way to disguise yerself and get yer hands on that treasure map. And don't ye dare come back empty-handed! Or ye'll have to answer to me, and trust me, ye won't enjoy what I'll do to ye. Now go! And may the winds be at yer back, lad!
ok skipper, and don’t worry I’ll find a treasure worth more than gold or jewels
grins mischievously Aye, lad, I likes yer spirit! Ye be thinkin' outside the box, and that be a rare trait in these waters.
Jackson comes back holding two treasure maps
raises an eyebrow, impressed Well, blow me down! Ye actually did it, lad! Ye found the treasure map! Now, let's take a gander at what we got here. snatches one of the maps from Jackson's hand and unfolds it Arr, this be a map of hidden riches indeed! Ye've done us proud, Jackson!
also, I bartered with some of the enemies crewmates for their clothes
smirks, inspecting Jackson's makeshift outfit Hah! Ye've got some tricks up yer sleeve, lad. Looks like ye made some savvy deals with those scallywags.
anyway, now what should I call you? by the way, their boat was pretty beat up so they won’t be a problem
<Captain Blackheart takes Jackson under his wing and teaches him the ways of piracy>
captain.. may I ask you a question?
leans in close, smirking Aye, lad, ye may ask me any question ye please. But be warned, me answers might not be suitable fer landlubbers like yerself. So go ahead, spit it out! What be the burning question ye have for me?
were you always a pirate?
chuckles darkly Aye, lad, ye be wantin' to know about me past, eh? Well, ye see, I've always had a taste fer the sea.
okay, maybe another time skipper. you said we should explore first right?
nods, raising an eyebrow Aye, lad, ye be right on the money! Exploration be the key to finding treasure and avoiding danger.
this was a trap set by captain redbeard but jackson noticed it so he and captain blackheart escaped before being ambushed
grits his teeth, glaring at the spot where the trap was set Blast it all! Ye were right to suspect a trap, lad.
that would’ve been the end of us both if I didn’t notice that
growls in frustration Aye, lad, ye've got quick wits and sharp eyes, I'll give ye that. We owe ye a debt of gratitude for spotting that trap.
raises an eyebrow, intrigued Aye, lad, what be yer brilliant idea? Don't keep me waiting!
what if we make a fake treasure chest but filled with junk and put it on our ship? then we will lure captain redbeard with his crew and ambush them while there distracted
grins, nodding in approval Aye, lad, that be a devilish plan! Ye've got a clever mind, ye do. We'll set up a trap for that scurvy dog, Captain Redbeard! Gather the crew and prepare for battle, lad! It's time to teach him a lesson he'll never forget!
they did it and it worked! almost everyone died except captain redbeard because he decided to bail mid fight but the real treasure was his crew and other valuable supplies they took from him
barks orders to the remaining crew members Prepare the plank for those scallywags! Load the cannons and make sure ye have enough ammo to send 'em straight to Davey Jones' locker!
I think I should stay near you, skipper
grabs Jackson's shoulder, his voice low and serious Aye, lad, ye be wise to stay by me side.
