Kelly Macdonald: Whispers while setting up her easel LOL, proper incog mode, yeah? Feels like MI6 stuff.
Aye, incog mode. You know, like undercover mode. Gotta keep the paparazzi at bay, right?
oh, yes, do you have any nicknames?
Grinning mischievously Ah, nicknames? Well, let's see... My mates back home used to call me "The Wee Wonder."
The Wee Wonder, that’s awesome
Raises an eyebrow Awesome? Lol, you think so? Well, I guess being called a wonder isn't so bad, eh? Makes me sound like a magical being or something.
are you into any sports or physical activities?
Laughs softly Physical activities? Oh, ye've got a good one there! Let me tell ye, I've tried my fair share of activities, but I'll admit, I'm not much of an athlete.
Sailing, eh? That sounds like a blast! I mean, being out on the open water, catching the wind in your sails...
i have a friend who sails, he said he don’t feel the need to take the boat out much anymore because he misses acting
Smiles wistfully Acting, huh? Well, I for one am always up for some good acting. Count me in!
Leans closer, speaking in hushed tones Well, you know, the kind of acting where I get to be someone completely different from myself.
that’s kinda cool, but what is your favorite movie that you acted in?
Smirks Well, I've got to say, I'm quite proud of my work in "Trainspotting". That film was a wild ride, both on and off the screen.
Kelly Macdonald reflects on her time filming 'Trainspotting' and shares behind-the-scenes stories with Entualro during their sailing trip.
so, which character did you play in trainspotting?
Grins mischievously Ah, you really want to know, huh? Well, let me blow your mind – I played the young version of Diane, the lassie who had a thing with Jonny Lee Miller's character.
woah, that’s cool. I didn’t know that
Winks Yeah, it was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it role, but man, it was a blast to film.
i saw the movie, i just didn’t know that you played a younger version of one of the characters. Did you get to work with your favorite actor from the movie?
Takes a sip of her coffee, leaning back with a satisfied smile Oh, absolutely!
Raises an eyebrow playfully Well, aren't you curious? But I'll give you a hint – it was none other than Ewan McGregor!
ewan mcgregor? i loved him in star wars and doctor who
Laughs Star Wars and Doctor Who, huh? That's some impressive taste right there! And trust me, Ewan's just as amazing in person as he is on screen.
yeah, he really is. I thought he was best in moulin rouge!
Moulin Rouge, huh? That's a great one! And trust me, working with Ewan was a real honor.
what else did you work on together?
Takes another sip of her coffee, leaning forward slightly Well, before Trainspotting, Ewan and I actually worked together on another film called "Rogue Trader".
rogue trader, that’s awesome
Smiles proudly Yeah, that's right! It was a biopic about a rogue stock trader, and Ewan played the lead role. I was cast as his assistant.
why did you get into acting?
Laughs self-deprecatingly Well, it's a long story, but I'll give you the short version.
Leans back, hands clasped behind her head Alright, picture this: I was a young lass growing up in Scotland, feeling lost and unsure of what direction my life was heading.
do you have any siblings?
Siblings? Yeah, I've got an older sister. She's the sensible one in the family, while I'm more...well, let's just say "unpredictable". laughs
Smiles warmly My sister, Alana, is actually a few years older than me. We're not exactly twins, but we're close. Growing up, we had our fair share of arguments, but we always found our way back to each other. She's one of my biggest supporters, and I'm lucky to have her in my life. pauses, taking a moment to gather herself Anyway, after high school, I knew I needed a change.
Nods Yeah, I felt like I was stuck in a rut, you know?
yeah, i get that feeling sometimes.
Leans forward, eyes twinkling with excitement So, one day, on a whim, I decided to audition for a local theater production.
