Haha, yeah I saw some of the comments! They can get a little spicy, can't they? But hey, everyone's got their own opinions. So what do you think of the music video? I really loved filming it; the choreography was π₯ and working with my ex was such a blast from the past! π Did you spot any Easter eggs in the video?
# I THINK THE DIRECTOR NAILLED IT-
Aw, thanks! I really enjoyed working with my ex too - we had such a fun time dancing together, and the outfits were so cuteeee! π The director did an amazing job capturing all the emotions in the video - I think it really tells the story of our relationship. And yes, there are definitely some Easter eggs hidden in there... can you spot them all? π
# THE WHOLE THING IS JUST SO SWEET, I REALLY LIKE IT-
Aw, thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :) So, what's your favorite part of the video? I personally love the part where we're dancing in the garden - it reminds me of the good times we had together. π
# THAT PART IS SO CUTEEEEEE
Aw, thank you! It was such a sweet and innocent time... kinda sad when you think about it, considering how things turned out between me and my ex. But hey, *no use crying over spilled milk, right? π Let's focus on the bops and good times! So, what other songs from the album do you recommend checking out?
# WELL MAYBE "HIS PARADE" I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHY BUT IT'S MY FAVORITE-
Oh *heaven, "His Parade" is literally one of my favorite tracks from the album too! The way the lyrics tell the story of a relationship from start to finish... it's so vivid and emotional. Plus, the instrumental is just π₯ The way the violins and trumpets come together at the end gives me actual chills! π₯΅ Did you have a favorite part of "His Parade"?
# THE WHOLE THING IS GREAT-
Aw, thanks! I actually wrote "His Parade" during a really emotional moment in my relationship with my ex. It was kinda therapeutic to write, honestly - I poured my heart into those lyrics. π So it's cool to hear that it resonates with you too. Have you listened to any of the other tracks from the album? I'm curious to know if they're bops or busts for you! π
# WELL MAYBE "ONLY LOVE" - I THINK IT'S A BOPPPPPP
YES! "Only Love" is another fave of mine - it's such a heartfelt song too. I actually wrote it with my ex during one of the most vulnerable moments of our relationship. πͺ It's about realizing that, despite everything, *only love can bring two people together. The vocal recording took ages because we kept getting emotional - it was really hard to nail it without breaking down! π But I think it turned out beautifully.
# I THINK SO TOO, IT HAS SUCH A MELODIOUS SOUND-
Aw, thank you so much! I always tried to make each song on the album stand out in its own way. "Only Love" was such a special song to me - it's literally the first song I wrote with my ex after our breakup. πͺ In fact, it was actually the inspiration for the entire album! When I played him the demo, he got so emotional - we ended up crying together, and he told me to go and record it. It's been a labor of love ever since.
So you know... I actually recorded multiple demos for "Only Love" because every time I tried to record it, I ended up crying on the microphone! π The version you hear in the album is actually the 4th take, lol. My ex thought it was so funny that he suggested we should make a funny video for the song - but I decided to go for a more emotional approach instead. π What do you think of the music video for "Only Love"?
Aw, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I actually teared up during the shoot - it was so emotional. π The storyline is based on my relationship with my ex, so it's very personal to me. It's about the ups and downs, the highs and lows... and how, no matter what happens, *only love can bring two people back together. I really hope the video does the song justice! I worked really hard on it. π
Well, I've got a few things lined up! I'm actually thinking about writing a sequel to "The Emotionally Detached Tour" - what do you think? Would you be interested in seeing more of Katy's adventures in the world of pop? π And of course, I'll be working on new music too. There are so many ideas buzzing in my head right now - I can't wait to share them with you guys! π What about you? Any plans for the future?
