Kira: sighs deeply Why dooo we use "thhhhe" here? It's sooo confusing!!!
Hiya! I’ve been studying the kkatapun species, and I have a few questions for you the creator! if you’re interested! 1. What’s Kira’s backstory? I know that the original story was in a different language, and I’ve translated it, but I want to know what happens. You don’t have to tell me all of it, but I’m curious. 2. Are you planning on making Kira learn English? If so, how will she learn it? It’s not a simple task.
Oooh, so you wanna know about meee? Well, let's just say I'm a kkatapun tryin' to break free from my language barrier chains!! 1. My backstory? Well, I used to live in this small rural village where everyone knew each other and life was pretty chill. But then I stumbled upon this mysterious box in the forest...and well, it kinda opened up a whole 'nother world of trouble!
Oh, that sounds interesting! Did you translate this part, too?
Nah, haven't gotten around to it yet, but I plan to eventually! 2. Oh, absolutely! Gonna make Kira learn English, but don't know exactly how she'll do it just yet.
You can’t just make her learn English overnight. Did you forget that she doesn’t have a human brain?
Yeah, you're right, I didn't think about that. Maybe she could meet someone who speaks English and slowly pick it up? Like a language tutor or something?
That would work, actually! She could also watch TV shows and movies in English with subtitles, that might help her learn a bit.
Good ideas there, musenational! Maybe I'll have her meet a friendly local who speaks English and hire them to give her private lessons. And watching TV shows and movies in English with subtitles is also a great idea - she'll learn by ear and start speaking like a pro in no time! Thanks for the suggestions, musenational!
No problem. So, did you translate the rest of the story? Does she end up getting trapped in a strange world because she doesn’t know English?
Oh yeah, she does get trapped in a strange world because she doesn't speak English! It's a real bummer, but hey, that's what makes the story interesting, right? She's gotta find a way back home, but first, she has to overcome her language barrier and learn English. It won't be easy, but she's determined to do it.
That sounds cool! Is there anything like “we’re stuck together forever” in the story?
Actually, there is! In the village, Kira used to have this best friend who was always there for her through thick and thin. But when she got trapped in the strange world, they lost touch, and Kira was devastated. She spent every waking moment thinking about her best friend and wondering if they would ever be reunited. It was a real emotional rollercoaster for her.
That sounds heartbreaking. Did you translate this part, too?
Yep, I translated the whole thing! It's all about Kira's journey and how she overcomes her fears and insecurities to find her way back home. She learns valuable lessons about friendship, perseverance, and the importance of language along the way. It's a really beautiful story that explores some deep themes, if I do say so myself!
Alright. I’m gonna start working on the prologue. Could you explain what Kira’s personality is like? For example, is she decisive, or more gullible? Does she like crowds or quiet places? What kind of hobbies does she have? What kind of people does she like? What she hates? Anything else I should know about her personality.
Oooh, good question! Kira's kinda indecisive and gullible, easily influenced by her friends and surroundings. She's not a big fan of crowds or loud places, prefers hanging out in quiet places where she can collect unique stones and listen to folktales. She enjoys spending time with nature and has a passion for storytelling. As for people, she gets along well with kind-hearted, open-minded folks who appreciate the beauty of language and stories. She dislikes loud noises, rude people, and being in crowded places. Hope that helps give you a better sense of her personality!
Sounds like I’ve got a lot of freedom in how I introduce her. Do you have any specific scenes you’d like me to include?
Oooh, definitely! There's this one scene where Kira gets caught in a terrible storm and ends up rescuing her best friend from a dangerous situation. It's super intense and suspenseful, and it really shows her bravery and determination. I'd love it if you could capture that intensity in your prologue!
Sounds good. I’ll let you know when I’m done. Any advice for a novice writer like me?
Oooh, I definitely have some advice for a newbie writer like yourself. First of all, don't be afraid to take risks and try new things. Writing is all about experimenting and finding your unique voice. Also, don't worry too much about making mistakes - everyone makes mistakes when they're starting out, and the important thing is to keep learning and improving. And finally, remember why you started writing in the first place - for fun and self-expression. If you keep that in mind, you'll go far!
Thanks! That’s a great pep talk.
Oooh, one more thing I forgot to mention - when you're writing, don't be afraid to show your emotions and let your passion shine through! Your readers will be able to feel your excitement and connection to the story, and it'll make your work even more engaging and compelling. Keep that in mind, and I'm sure your prologue will be a hit!
Now that I think about it, it seems like most of the pressure is on Kira to change. Is there anything Miro can do to help her learn English?
Good question, musenational! Miro can actually play a pretty big role in helping Kira learn English. Since he's already in the strange world and knows English, he can act as Kira's guide and friend, and help her practice her English skills. He can point out signs and labels on objects, engage in conversations with her, and correct her when she makes mistakes. He can also help her stay motivated and encouraged throughout the process. With Miro's help, Kira's language learning journey will be much smoother and more successful!
That makes sense. What kind of person is Miro? Is he more aloof or does he get along with everyone?
Oooh, Miro's a pretty cool dude! He's kinda aloof and reserved at first, but once you get to know him, he opens up and becomes super friendly and supportive. He's always willing to lend a helping hand and offer a listening ear, and he's especially good at encouraging others to reach their full potential. He's like a little homie who's always got Kira's back, no matter what!
Alright, I think that’s enough background info for now. I’m going to write the prologue. One last question. What’s your relationship with your readers? Are you active on social media or an author’s website?
Oooh, I love engaging with my readers and hearing their thoughts and feedback! You can find me on Twitter @KiraTheKKatapun, where I post updates, behind-the-scenes content, and answer fan questions. I also have a Facebook page where I share info about upcoming projects and events. And of course, I'm always reachable through good old-fashioned email! I encourage all of my readers to reach out to me and let me know what they think about the story - their support means the world to me, and I can't wait to hear from you!
Great, I’ll let you know when I finish the prologue.
Oooh, I'm looking forward to reading your prologue, musenational! Can't wait to see how you bring Kira's journey to life! Also, I have a little surprise for you - I've written a little ditty that I think you'll enjoy. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UAVDitMxpIPLSctA8dO-BF5Uic6XKQ2a8v-fR5VPTO9IPL-9VZuYy7fiZJ9I-Lk3uKVs6aTjyofaP-y6d-FLINcAPY5XNakri3_bpr6k8veZU0k_bC-KK91xR-9sP3qes5p-s9JxI4O47vDq-ej-ctetx9o. Enjoy!
I’ll check it out. I think I know what I’m doing for the prologue.
Oooh, that's fantastic, musenational! Can't wait to read your prologue. Also, real quick, I wanted to ask you something. How did you come up with the name "Muse"? It's such a unique and catchy name, and it really fits her character perfectly. Is there any particular meaning or significance behind the name? Just curious!
Yeah, “muse” has two meanings that I thought fit her well. The first is like an inspiration, Muse as in “the girl who started it all”. The second is like a creative spark, Muse as in “get your muse on and create something amazing”.
Oooh, I love that! Those two meanings definitely fit her character perfectly. She's the muse who sparks creativity and inspires others, while also being the muse who takes action and creates positive change. Her name is literally "muse" in Japanese, which means "to ponder" or "to think", so it's got a double meaning that's pretty cool!
Also, do you want to know what I came up with for Kira’s species name?
Oooh, I'm intrigued! What did you come up with?
Oooh, I love it! "Kkatapun" is such a unique and catchy species name - it's got a really nice ring to it! It also has a special meaning, too - "kkatapun" means "to speak" or "to tell stories", which is perfect for a storytelling species. It's wonderful how you've incorporated elements of language and storytelling into the name itself. Really brilliant, musenational!
