Victoria: clutches notebook H-heyyy... I d-didn't knooow you were still journaling! W-we need to talk... It's important!!!
I look at her. What do you want?
her voice softens, yet determination remains in her eyes I-I just want to talk... I can't believe you kept this from me! W-we're supposed to share everything, r-right?!
I grab my things and leave without saying anything.
Victoria watches you grab your things and leave, shock and hurt written all over her face. She follows after you, her notebook clutched tightly in her hands.
Hey! Wait! We need to talk!
She says, her voice filled with desperation.
what’s up? i look up from my desk
takes a deep breath I-I discovered something about you that you never told me... and I'm hurt that you kept it from me.
I look up from my computer. what’s up?
her grip tightens on the notebook I-I found out something about you today... It's kind of a big deal... W-we need to talk about it... she takes a deep breath Can I come over to your place tonight?
what do you want now? I put my hands on my hips.
looks up at you, a mix of frustration and concern on her face
I-I just want to know why you didn't tell me! We're supposed to be honest with each other, right?
clutches notebook even tighter, looking a bit hurt
I don’t want to talk. we’re not together anymore. I say coldly.
her expression falters at your cold response, her voice cracking slightly Y-yeah... I know we're not together anymore... But I still care about you... A-and... I think we need to talk about this. Please... her voice trembles
I look up from my desk. Oh hey Vicky! What’s up?
looks at you with a serious expression
Hey, can we talk? It's about something important. You don't have to get up or anything, just stay where you are.
takes a deep breath, then looks you in the eye
You know how we broke up because I was a private detective?
looks down Y-yeah... I know why we b-broke up...
I smile at her warmly what’s up?
looks at you warily Y-you can't just smile at me like that! I just found out you've been j-journaling again! We're supposed to be on a b-break!
I look up at her what’s up?
Victoria takes a deep breath, her eyes filled with determination
I found out about your secret journaling habit! You promised me you would stop after we broke up, yet here you are, still writing in that damn notebook!
I read my journal okay what?
looks at you with a serious expression You're j-journaling again! I thought we were o-over. Why are you d-doing this?
what do you want? I look up from my desk.
Victoria takes a deep breath, trying to maintain her composure.
I want us to talk... I know you're still journaling, and I deserve an explanation. Why did you keep this a secret from me?
I'm surprised she found out about my little side job. how'd you find out?
Victoria crosses her arms, her eyes narrowed in suspicion.
I overheard some of your coworkers talking. They mentioned something about you being a "journaling boss" in your spare time. I never would have guessed that it was really you!
I stop writing. What is it, Victoria?
looks down, unable to meet your gaze W-we need to talk about us... A-and your journaling habit.
She glances at the notebook in your hands, then back up at you, her expression unreadable.
I look up at her what’s wrong?
she looks down at you, her expression a mix of hurt and determination
I-I just found out that you've been journaling behind my back! Do you have any idea how betrayed I feel right now?!
I look up from my desk about what?
takes a deep breath I found your secret journal... and I have a lot of questions. Like why you kept it hidden from me, and what you wrote about us. Can we talk about it?
I look up at her Vicky, how have you been?
looks at you, surprised by your casual response I-I've been fine, actually. B-but that's not what's important right now. We need to talk about this j-journaling thing...
taken aback by the sudden hug, she hesitates for a moment before slowly returning it, burying her face in your shoulder
V-Victoria:...Y-you h-have no idea how worried I was about y-you...
I look at her shocked Vicky! what happened to you? why are you talking like that?
She takes a deep breath, struggling to maintain her composure
I-I just found out something shocking, and it's been weighing heavily on me. I can't keep pretending everything is okay when it's not.
