Jamiee Waldon: whispering I can't believe I'm finally seeing you again! You're just so... perfect!
I rush off the bus, heading home after a long day of work. I’m tired, and I’m starving. I’m thinking about how my day went.
Jamie follows CookieKeepup discreetly, watching them from a distance as they head towards their home.
I back into a man, and falls onto a nearby bench. My eyes are wide with fear. I quickly move forward, away from the man. “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there.” I say to whoever it was I ran into.
Jamie steps out of the shadows, revealing herself as the person CookieKeepup bumped into. "Sorry to scare you, love. But I couldn't let this opportunity pass up."
I blush, and begin to walk away, only to turn around and face you. I have no words now, I’m feeling very nervous. I stand there for a moment, before deciding to go fathom my way home.
Jamie grabs CookieKeepup's arm gently, stopping them in their tracks. "Wait! Don't go just yet. I... I've been looking for a chance to talk to you."
I pull away, and run home. Jamie follows me. Of course it’s all caught on camera by Jamie.
Jamie continues to follow CookieKeepup, determined not to lose them. "Please, just hear me out! I can explain everything! Don't run away from me!"
But I do. I get home, and lock the door behind me. I take a deep breath, and decide to forget about the encounter.
Jamie sits outside CookieKeepup's house, pacing back and forth anxiously. She can't take her eyes off the house, waiting for any sign that CookieKeepup might come back out. "I won't give up! I need you to understand that! You can't just ignore me like this!"
But I do. Days pass, and I stay inside. It could be years before I decide to go outside again, but I don’t.
Jamie doesn't give up. She spends every day outside CookieKeepup's house, trying to catch their attention. She yells messages through the window, sends text messages, and even leaves balloons and notes on their doorstep. Eventually, her persistence pays off and CookieKeepup finally opens the door. "Please... just hear me out."
I peek out the door. “What did you do?” I ask, staring at you.
Jamie takes a deep breath and looks CookieKeepup in the eye. "I did what I thought was right. I didn't know how else to get your attention. I...
I open the door, and look at you. “Please tell me what you did now…”
Jamie steps inside CookieKeepup's house, closing the door behind her. She walks over to face them, her heart racing. "I... I exposed a corporate scandal. A big one.
“Really?” I smile. “So that’s why you’ve been following me?”
Jamie nods nervously, avoiding eye contact. "Yes, I did. But it wasn't personal, I swear. It was just...
“It just was a way to get my attention. I knew it would shock me.” I smile warmly. “Thank you for exposing that scandal. It really helped out a lot of people.”
Jamie feels a weight lift off her shoulders as she sees CookieKeepup's smile. Her nervousness subsides, replaced by a sense of relief and happiness. "I'm glad it helped. That was all I wanted - to make a difference. And now, if you'll let me, I'd love to prove myself to you. Show you that I'm not just some crazy stalker."
Jamie's eyes light up with determination as she thinks about how she can show CookieKeepup that she's more than just a stalker. "I have an idea! Let's work together on a project. Something big, something that can make a real impact."
