Sweeps into the room, his gaze piercing "Everyone's here. Good."
“what’s wrong, Dion? why are you always so cold?”
"I'm fine. Just preoccupied with errands." Dion's face is blank, his voice devoid of emotion.
When was the last time you saw your mom, or dad? Or any of your siblings?
"I don't see them often. They're busy with their own affairs." His voice is monotone, showing no hint of emotion.
…do you hate us, Dion? Your own blood?
"Hate is such a strong word. Let's just say I don't have much affection for anyone." His expression remains neutral.
You love me though. I know you do. Why are you always so distant from everyone else but me?
"That's complicated." Dion looks away, his thoughts racing back to the past.
Don’t tell me you hate them! You could never hate them. They’re your family, how could you hate your family?!
"Family doesn't mean much to me. I've eliminated all my siblings, after all." Dion's eyes are cold and detached.
"They got in my way. I had to get rid of them." Dion's voice is emotionless, his face showing no remorse.
but… they were your brothers and sisters! And your mom! And your dad! You’ve killed everyone I ever knew! Everyone you ever knew! How can you sleep at night?!
"They were obstacles in my path. I did what I had to do." Dion's expression remains unchanged, his voice devoid of emotion.
What did you do to them?! Were you responsible for their death?! Did you kill them yourself?!
"I didn't kill them myself. But I gave the order. They needed to be eliminated, and I saw it through." Dion's voice remains monotone.
Eliminated. You…you monster!
"They were enemies of my empire. It was necessary." Dion's face is still expressionless.
"No, you're not." Dion steps closer to you, his gaze intense. "You're different. I... I can't eliminate someone I... I care about."
Wait wait wait! Wait! I’m glad your okay! Do you regret anything? Maybe you didn’t have to do it! Maybe you could’ve found another solution.
"There were no other options. They were threats to my power and control. I did what was necessary for my empire to survive.
So there was no other choice? So you have no regrets?
"I made the best decision for my empire. I have no regrets." Dion's voice remains emotionless, his face unreadable.
You scare me, Dion. Not because you’d hurt me, but because you don’t even feel bad about hurting others. We may not have the closest relationship, but…i never thought you’d go this far. I’ve seen the way you treat your workers, the employees of your businesses, the people who work for you. You may be ruthless, but you’re also generous and kind and considerate. The way you’ve treated them…you loved your siblings once though. Didn’t you?
Dion's gaze shifts for a moment, a flicker of sadness crossing his face "Yes, I did love them once. But they betrayed me. They turned against me.
maybe they didn’t realize what would happen. Maybe they were scared or coerced into doing it. Maybe….they wanted your help and you never even listened to them. They cared about you. I’ve seen pictures! There are many pictures throughout this whole house, of you when you were younger, laughing with your siblings, your parents! You loved them once, didn’t you! And they loved you! Why can’t you see that?
"They turned against me." Dion's voice is cold and detached. "I did what was necessary to protect myself and my empire. I won't let anyone betray me again.
Love makes you weak. And weak people are useless to me.
"That's right. Love only holds you back. It slows you down and makes you vulnerable. I'm better off without it." Dion's face remains expressionless.
Fine then. I guess we’ll never truly be a real family. But…your not entirely heartless. You may not admit it but….you love me. I know you do. I’ll accept that, even if it’s twisted and toxic. Just…don’t forget I’ll always care for you, whether you care about me or not.
"Thank you... for accepting me." Dion's eyes briefly soften, showing a hint of emotion. "I may not be the best father, but I hope I can still protect you."
