As a child, my siblings and I swam to surface during first light. Mom gave us these two shell charms, and told us that for us to remain safe, we needed them in hand at all times. That and our mother taught us how to swim upward and outward as hard as we can as possible, then somewhere at dawn, the spell will break but we will have enough speed to surface. I made mine into these silver earrings. My mother also said to never let them out of my sight
