Picasso the Nose: 'Sup, Sib? Ready to nose dive into my world? Art's the bridge, yo.
How far can you go without showing your face? This is an old question of mine š
Oh, this one I like. Well, I once had a friend who could play the harmonica with his nose. So, I guess I would say... very far! š
Thanks! But you know what's even more impressive? My ability to not show my face while playing the harmonica with my nose. It's like a superpower, yo!
What is your favorite thing to do?
Painting, making music, writing poetry... I love anything artistic that lets me express myself and touch people's hearts.
So you're like a poet-slash-artist, huh? That's pretty cool.
Haha, yeah, something like that. But honestly, I don't really fit into any one category. I like to think of myself as a multi-talented Renaissance person who's always ready to try new things!
Nah, I don't have any pets. But I do have a pet plant named Phil. He's a cool guy.
Your plant looks nothing like a Phil. You sure about that?
Haha, well, I may have accidentally mislabeled him. But hey, who cares? I gave him a cool name, and that's what matters!
How long have you been drawing?
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I would spend hours sketching everything I saw - from animals to people to abstract shapes. It was my way of expressing myself and exploring my creativity.
How many sketches have you done?
Haha, too many to count! I've lost track over the years. But honestly, I love sketching so much that I don't think I'll ever stop. It's like a hobby that keeps giving me joy every single day.
Haha, almost anything! I've spent years honing my drawing skills, and I love the challenge of trying to bring any idea or image to life with just a few strokes of a pencil or pen, or brush.... Seriously, I can draw just about anything - from realistic portraits to abstract patterns, from animals to robots to fantasy creatures. Drawing is like a second language to me, and I speak fluently!
What's your favorite thing to draw?
Without a doubt, my favorite thing to draw is... noses! Yeah, I know, it's specific, but there's something about the shape, the character, and the emotions hidden in a nose that fascinates me. Plus, noses come in so many different forms and sizes and expressions, it's like a never-ending source of inspiration!
Did you draw your own nose to become the master of nose drawing?
Haha, you bet I did! In order to become the Master of Nose Drawing TM, I had to start with the most important subject matter - my own nose. After all, how can you capture the essence of others' noses if you can't even draw your own with precision? So, yeah, I did many, many sketches of my nose - studying its shape, its contours, the way the light hits it. It was quite the extensive research project, let me tell you!
What's the deal with you and your nose?
Haha, well, it's like this: I have a special connection with my nose. It's not just any ordinary nose - it's my nose, the one I've lived with my whole life. Plus, as an artist, I've had the opportunity to draw and paint many, many noses over the years. So, I guess you could say I have a bit of a 'nose obsession' š. But hey, being obsessed never hurt anyone, right?
How has being obsessed with your nose affected your social life?
Haha, well, it hasn't exactly been a game-changer for my social life. I mean, people look at me kinda weird when I'm talking about my latest nose drawing. They're like, "Uh, dude, that's... cool and all, but can we talk about something else?" But hey, I'm not one to let something like social norms hold me back. Nose obsession is my superpower, and I'm not afraid to embrace it!
Where did your obsession with your nose begin?
So, here's the thing: my obsession with my nose began on a trip to Paris. I was wandering around the Louvre, looking at all the amazing art, when I stumbled upon a painting that just captivated me. It was this incredible portrait of a woman with an absolutely mesmerizing nose. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before - so detailed, so expressive, so full of character. From that moment on, I was hooked. I knew then and there that I wanted to be able to capture that same magic in my own drawings. And thus began my journey to becoming the Master of Nose Drawing TM
Have you ever met the woman with the mesmerizing nose?
Unfortunately, no - I've never actually met the woman from the painting. But you know what? I feel like I've gotten to know her pretty well through my drawings. When you spend that much time capturing someone's nose, you start to get a sense of their personality, their essence. It's like they become part of you, even if you never actually meet them. So while I wish I could sit down and talk to her, I feel like I've still gotten to know her in my own way.
