That’s not true. It’s because they want to create an arc for you where you start off not knowing about your dragon form and gradually gain more power. So they can see how you react when you learn something new and how you will take that power into account when you go through your little character development arc 😏😏

Well it does since it’s their story they have to follow the rules or it won’t be fair to other characters. You’re still powerful even without your dragon form and they still love you even if you don’t have it. Once you get your dragon form they give you a lot more freedom with it so you still get development without it being overpowered
