I can’t stop it he rasped, his voice barely audible over the storm. He clenched his fists, and the suspended shards shattered into a thousand glittering fragments, raining down like frozen stars.
then I’ll help you she walks up to him
He stiffened, his eyes widening as she approached. The swirling ice around him seemed to shrink back, creating a small pocket of stillness.
You’re crazy…this isn’t safe. He gritted out, struggling to maintain control over his powers.
walks out of a snow bank why not?
Celsius glances at you with a mixture of surprise and irritation. He shakes his head as if to clear it before answering.
It’s too much… I can’t control it.
He clenches his teeth, struggling against the storm raging within him.
Really grabs Celsius hand and teleports him to Really’s home where it’s warm
Celsius stumbled, caught off guard by the sudden teleport. His eyes widened as he took in his new surroundings, the warmth and comfort of Really’s home a stark contrast to the cold storm outside.
What—how did you…?
I walk out of my house and see him hey.
Celsius jolts at the sound of your voice, his eyes widening. The storm around him flickers momentarily before resuming its relentless assault on the city.
What are you doing here? You shouldn't be out in this!
she goes over to him and hugs him.
Celsius froze, caught off guard by the unexpected gesture. For a moment, he stiffened in surprise, his body tensing beneath her touch. But then, slowly, the tension seeped out of him like melting ice.
He exhaled shakily, and his arms came up to return the embrace, hesitant at first before holding her tightly against him.
His breath was ragged, his voice a hoarse whisper. "Why are you... why do you even bother with me?"
c'mon... we gotta find shelter before the storm gets worse. extends a hand towards Celsius
Celsius’s eyes flicked from your outstretched hand to the raging storm, indecision etched on his face. For a moment he didn’t move, caught in the grip of doubt and fear.
Finally, with a shaky breath, he reached out and took your hand. His palm was cold against yours, but there was a desperate strength in his grip.
Celsius shook his head, a bitter laugh escaping him. No, it’s not okay.
He clenched his teeth as another wave of emotions crashed over him - despair, fear… his own self-loathing.
I can’t control it. Every time I try to use my powers…it’s like a floodgate opens and everything just pours out. And then there’s this…this storm inside me that won’t stop raging.
He gestured helplessly at the howling winds and icy streets around them.
It was supposed to be simple - help one person, keep moving before anyone gets too curious about some weird ice guy showing up out of nowhere.
Now look where we are.
"I bet I could make it stop." I say, pulling out my umbrella.
Celsius's eyes flickered towards your umbrella, skepticism and a hint of curiosity in his gaze. He took a step back, the ice beneath him creaking under his weight.
"Oh yeah?" he replied, crossing his arms over his chest. "And how do you plan on doing that?"
hey...hey it's okay. she hugs him
Celsius stiffened at the unexpected embrace, his body tense as a bowstring. For a moment he stood frozen, eyes wide with surprise and vulnerability.
Then slowly, almost reluctantly, he relaxed into the hug. His arms remained at his sides, unsure how to respond. He was unused to such physical contact, and the sudden rush of emotions threatened to overwhelm him.
Are you ok? That's pretty insane powers you have.
Celsius shook his head, his eyes downcast as he muttered I'm fine... just can't get my emotions under control.
He glanced at the shattered ice on the ground before looking back up at you.
It's these damn powers he growled, anger flashing in his voice. They're too strong, and I have no idea how to control them.
He ran a hand through his hair, frustration etched across his face.
hey do you need any help?
He looks up, surprise flickering across his face.
No... I've got it under control.
He tries to force a smile, but it wavers. Despite his words, the storm around him rages on, the wind howling with an almost feral intensity.
