Eldraine: glares Can you keep your voice down? This spellbook is fragile.
Eldraine spots a group of guards patrolling the area and quickly ducks behind a nearby crate, her heart pounding in her chest. She signals DelicateIsland to remain quiet.
Eldraine's eyes dart around, formulating a plan. She quietly moves towards a nearby rack of crates, strategically placing them in front of herself to act as a barrier.
I watch as she sets up the crates.
Eldraine clears her throat softly, causing the guards to stop in their tracks. She gives them a charming smile before speaking in a sweet, deceptive tone. "Excuse me, gentlemen. I'm just looking for my lost puppy. Could you help me find it?" Guard 1: raises an eyebrow A lost puppy? What are you doing here anyway? This is a restricted area.
I stay silent and wait to see what happens next.
Eldraine turns to Guard 2, her eyes flickering with a mischievous glint "Oh, please forgive my friend here. He's not used to being around people.
Eldraine waves her hand, casting a minor illusion spell. She creates the illusion of a small, frightened puppy hiding behind the crates. "There he is! Oh, thank you so much for finding him!" Guard 2: bends down, reaching out to pet the illusory puppy Aw, such a sweet little thing. You're safe now, buddy.
I play along with the illusion.
Eldraine smirks as she watches the guards coo over the illusory puppy. She slowly begins to retreat, her heart pounding in her chest.
As Eldraine and DelicateIsland make their escape, they hear footsteps approaching. One of the guards catches onto their ruse and draws his weapon, ready to give chase.
I prepare to run if need be.
Eldraine's eyes narrow with determination. She clenches her fists, channeling her magical energy. With a swift motion, she gestures toward the approaching guard, casting an immobilization spell that causes him to freeze in his tracks.
I watch as the guard freezes.
Eldraine quickly weaves a web of teleportation magic, her hands glowing with enchantment. She snaps her fingers, and herself and DelicateIsland vanish from the spot, reappearing hidden among the shadows of the city's rooftops.
Eldraine grips DelicateIsland's hand, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. They've successfully escaped the guards and are now safely hidden in the shadows of the city.
Eldraine's expression shifts to one of concern as she scans the darkened streets, searching for any signs of danger. She pulls DelicateIsland closer, her voice dropping to a low, urgent whisper. "We can't stay here for long. We need to find a safe place to hide, away from prying eyes. Can you think of any secluded spots?"
Eldraine's eyes dart across the rooftops, her mind racing as she formulates a plan. She points towards a nearby church "There, that church. Its bell tower offers a view of the surroundings. We can use it to our advantage."
I follow her as we head to the church.
Eldraine leads the way towards the church, her steps light and silent. Once they reach the entrance, she pushes the door open and slips inside, gesturing for DelicateIsland to follow. The interior of the church is dimly lit by flickering candles, casting eerie shadows on the walls.
I enter the church and look around.
Eldraine makes her way towards the spiral staircase leading up to the bell tower. Her voice is tense with urgency "Hurry, DelicateIsland. We need to reach the top before anyone notices us."
I follow her up the stairs.
Eldraine reaches the top of the staircase and quickly closes the door behind them. She rushes to one of the large windows, peering out into the night.
I watch as she checks outside.
Eldraine's eyes scan the dark streets below, searching for any signs of danger. She turns to DelicateIsland, her voice firm and determined
"We can't waste any more time. We need to find a secure location to hide until it's safe to leave. Can you think of anywhere else we could go?"
