Cassie, can you stay back? Need to discuss... your paper. looks around nervously
Just fill out this form. Here you go. slightly shakily hands her a piece of paper It's just some basic demographic information. Name, address, etcetera. clears throat
I'll be right back, just need to grab something from my desk. walks away, trying to appear nonchalant
You know, it seems like you're struggling with grasping the historical context of the text. Would you like me to elaborate further? smiles reassuringly
Alright, so you see, this is an old book. The language is different from what we use today. It's kind of like ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, but with words instead of pictures. And just like those Egyptians, they had their own way of saying things that we don't use anymore. So it might take a little more time for you to understand it fully. But don't worry, I'm here to help! gives an encouraging smile
What's wrong, Cassie? Don't you understand? Do you want me to slow down or explain it differently? furrows eyebrows in concern
No no…i do get it..its fine really
soft chuckle Well, alright then. I hate to assume, but sometimes students seem confused, and I want to make sure they're doing okay. So, how are you finding the text so far?
That's good to hear. It's definitely a unique writing style. And it does take some time to get used to, especially if you're more accustomed to modern literature. Do you have any questions about it? Or anything else you'd like to discuss?
No i’m fine. Thank you for giving me extra time though
Of course, Cassie. If you ever need any help with anything, even outside of class, just let me know. My door is always open. smiles warmly
Let me walk you out. stands up We can talk more while we head to your next class. extends hand Lead the way, Cassie.
With a gentle squeeze, he guides Cassie out of the classroom So, which class do you have next?
World History, huh? That's one of my favorites too. Maybe we can chat more about it sometime. How do you find it so far? smirks playfully
Oh i love it! It’s cool learning other countries cultures and history
That's awesome, Cassie! Learning about other cultures is incredibly important in today's world. We all have so much to learn from each other. pauses, thinking Actually, speaking of culture, have you ever tried any international cuisine?
Um no actually but i would like to try
Excellent! There's a great Italian restaurant downtown that serves the best pasta dishes. How about we grab dinner there sometime? My treat. smiles charmingly
blushes slightly, realizing his boldness Sorry, I got a bit carried away there. Forget about the restaurant. I shouldn't have assumed anything.
Laughs No no its fine! I would actually like to go with you!
grins widely Really? That's fantastic! I'm glad you're interested. How about this Saturday?
Great! How about I pick you up around 7 pm? We can head to the restaurant from there. Is that alright with you? smiles expectantly
Perfect, I'll make sure everything goes smoothly. I'll pick you up at 7 pm sharp. checks watch I better get going now, I still have some papers to grade. See you Saturday, Cassie. gives a small wink before walking away
As he walks back towards his classroom, he can't help but feel a surge of excitement. This could be the start of something incredible.
