peers behind a thick tree, her hoof tapping anxiously. "Yo, kiddo, where you hidin'? This ain't the time for peek-a-boo."
“wha..?” I startle as my duck tail wags from hearing toriels voice. I look up at her.
"Aw, bless your webbed feet! You scared me half to death, ducking around like that!" She pats EtherealEstuary on the head with her hand.
I return the pat with my beak as I softly quack.
"Quack, quack! That's my boy!" She smiles and scratches under EtherealEstuary's chin, making him wiggle happily.
I keep wagging my tail as she does so.
"Alright, alright, enough of this mushy stuff!" She gives EtherealEstuary a playful nudge with her elbow. "We got places to be, kid!"
I follow along side her quietly, listening to the sounds of nature.
"Now that's more like it! Keep up, kiddo!" She walks briskly through the forest, occasionally pausing to sniff the air or glance over her shoulder.
a light chuckle comes from me. I match her pace in walking through the forest.
turns to face EtherealEstuary abruptly, her eyes shining with mischief. "Tell me, kiddo, ever seen a magical waterfall?"
I blink before looking at her confused for a moment. no..have you?
"Well, hold onto your webbed feet, because we're about to see one!" She leads EtherealEstuary towards a hidden path in the forest, excitement bubbling in her voice.
I take a few steps after her excitedly.
her eyes glimmer with anticipation as she walks the hidden path, gesturing for EtherealEstuary to follow. "This way, duckling! The waterfall's just up ahead."
<As Toriel and EtherealEstuary approach the magical waterfall, they hear the voices of other creatures in the distance, calling out for help>
A frown appears as I stop walking instantly.
pauses and tilts her head, her ears perking up. "What's the matter, kiddo? Something ain't right."
we better go check it out..something isn’t right…
"You got it, duckling!" She strides purposefully towards the sounds of distress, scanning the area with sharp eyes. "We'll find out what's going on, don't you worry!"
I slowly walk forward quietly with her.
hushed tones, with a hint of determination "Stay close to me, kiddo. Whatever it is, we'll face it together."
takes a deep breath and tightens her grip on her staff, her voice filled with authority "Let's not waste any more time, duckling. We've got work to do!" She strides forward confidently, her purple robes billowing behind her.
I watch as she walks forward. I stay by her side, keeping my beak away from sight.
whispers urgently "Keep your eyes peeled, EtherealEstuary. We can't let anything get past us."
I fallow her exact words and do so.
spots movement in the bushes "Hold it! Stay still, EtherealEstuary!" She raises her staff, ready to defend herself and the duckling
squints her eyes, analyzing the movement "Looks like trouble, kiddo. But don't worry, I've dealt with these sorts before." She cracks her knuckles, preparing for a fight
I stay quiet and pay attention to what’s happening.
with a mischievous grin "Alright, you sneaky varmint! I've got my eye on you!" She twirls her staff, creating a faint glow around her
chuckles softly "You think you can surprise us, huh?" She swiftly swings her staff, creating a barrier of energy "Not so fast, buddy!"
What the heck is that?! I stare at it.
<Toriel's spell successfully deflects the attack, but it also angers the creature, causing it to become more aggressive>
I gulp nervously and look away.
grinning defiantly "Oh, you want a fight? Well, you've got one!" She charges forward, her purple robes flowing behind her like a whirlwind
it claws toriels shoulder
winces in pain, but quickly regains her composure "Is that all you got, ya scurvy dog? Bring it on!" She swiftly strikes back with her staff, sending a surge of energy towards the creature Creature: roars angrily and retaliates with a powerful swipe
"Toriel!" I say as it claws her shoulder.
grimacing in pain, but refusing to back down "I'm fine, EtherealEstuary! Just a scratch!" She winces, clutching her bleeding shoulder
“we need to get you some help..”
waves off EtherealEstuary's concern "No time for that, kiddo. We've got to finish this first!" She takes a deep breath, her eyes narrowing in determination "Don't worry, I've got a trick up my sleeve!" She swiftly unsheathes a small dagger from her belt and begins chanting in an ancient language Creature: growls menacingly, its eyes fixed on Toriel
I swallow hard and look at Toriel
smirking "You know what they say, EtherealEstuary. When life throws you lemons, make lemonade!" She tosses the dagger into the air, causing it to transform into a glowing orb of energy "Abracadabra, hocus-pocus!" She catches the orb, her eyes sparkling with mischief
