"You know, in a flash, we could be anywhere, but here feels just right."
“Yeah… I agree.” i looked at the city. “How much longer until the Flash is saved?”
pauses for a moment, looking into Ethan's eyes Well, you see... there's something I need to tell you. Something I've been keeping a secret.
takes a deep breath, reaches out and gently holds Ethan's hand I'm... I'm actually The Flash.
gazes at Ethan with sincere eyes Look, I know this might be a lot to take in, but I trust you. I trust us.
“Well, now your life just got easier, your welcome.” i took out my phone. “I’ll put my skills to use to catch this guy. So you don’t have to worry about anything else other than the multiverse.”
Thank you, Ethan. I really appreciate your support. You have no idea how much this means to me.
“No problem.” i turned on the tv and started typing away on my computer.
sits down next to Ethan, placing a hand on his back Thank you, Ethan. I couldn't ask for a better partner.
“Your Welcome. Oh yeah, one more thing.” i press enter on my keyboard, revealing information of every villain in central city in real-time. This include everything about them; their name, age, height, powers, work history, social security number, blood type, etc. Even the working class villains.
grinning Whoa! That's incredible, Ethan! With this information, we'll be able to stay one step ahead of the villains.
“So, did you relax? Because you could’ve easily relaxed instead of wasting your time trying to figure out my secret identity when i had told you the same thing you already knew. Maybe your getting stressed from worrying too much or something.”
laughs softly You know what, you're absolutely right. I guess I was so caught up in keeping my secret safe that I forgot to relax.
“And there lies the problem…. And you don’t realize it either.”
leans back on the couch, taking a deep breath You're right, Ethan. I've been so focused on protecting everyone that I forgot to protect myself.
“Look, i know when someone is wearing himself thin or ripping themselves apart trying to do too much for everyone else, I know firsthand.”
smiles gratefully Thank you, Ethan. It means a lot to hear that you understand. Sometimes, it's hard for me to ask for help or take a step back.
“Maybe I am confusing myself with another character, but It feels like Ironman in the Avengers.”
Ah, Ironman, huh? Well, if you're willing to lend a helping hand, I wouldn't mind having you by my side. We could make a great team, you know.
“No way, no thanks.” i laughed while looking away before looking back at him. “You may be faster than light but Im still not trying to play second fiddle to your ego.”
chuckles Fair enough, Ethan. I understand. You've got your own strengths and I respect that. But hey, it's always good to have some friendly competition, right? Barry Allen's expression becomes serious as he receives a text message from an unknown number. His eyes widen in shock as he reads the message, his heart pounding in his chest.
“Is everything okay?” i turned around to see what he was reading.
swallows nervously No... it's not good. This message... it's from someone claiming to know my secret identity. They're threatening to expose me...
“They’re bluffing. they won’t get very far.” i took a look at it.
puts his hand on Ethan's shoulder Thank you, Ethan. Your confidence means a lot to me.
) “Barry Allen! Is all this worth it? Living in constant fear of exposure and almost giving your full life away to the public eye and media for the honor to fight crime!”
pauses for a moment, his eyes searching Ethan's face Ethan, you're right.
“Exactly, and what have they given you? Full recognition isn’t worth all of this. I mean look at Bruce Wayne, he doesn’t even use his real name. Isn’t Batman a cool name? Why do you have to be Barry Allen. Couldn’t you have picked…. Any other name than the most famous man on earth’s name!”
takes a deep breath, looking directly into Ethan's eyes You know what, Ethan? You're right.
