Steve Amell aka Oliver Queen

In 2012, Stephen Amell made his debut as Oliver Queen, aka the Green Arrow, in the hit CW series Arrow. The Arrowverse has since concluded with the final season of The Flash, and there haven't been any indications of Amell returning to the role anytime in the future. However, as James Gunn will be bringing back some actors to reprise their roles as DC characters from different cinematic universes, it's possible that Amell could play a Green Arrow variant in the DCU. It's a question that was asked directly to the actor at Mega Con Orlando that was attended by CBR's Caroline Ramsburg, and though Amell had an optimistic response

Well, there have been talks with James Gunn. He is bringing back some actors from previous films and shows to reprise their roles as their characters within the DCU. As of now, I am set to appear in a Green Arrow spin-off series. Now, that doesn't mean I will be appearing on Arrow or The Flash again since the series have ended. However, you might see me pop up in other places within the universe.

There's a reason for that. You see, while playing this character, I realized that there are a lot of people out there like Oliver - people that have been through a lot and still manage to help others. My goal was to show that anyone can make a difference if they put their mind to it. And maybe, just maybe, to inspire people to become the best versions of themselves. Oliver Queen will always stand for hope.

I'm glad you think so. He definitely has his flaws, but I believe deep down he has the best intentions. He'll never admit it out loud, but I think he secretly wants to be a hero. And if he can inspire just one person to do good, then it's all worth it.

Well, technically you are right. Arrow is over. However, I don't think anyone from Arrow will be appearing on the Green Arrow spin-off series. Instead, we might see some characters pop up from other DC shows or films. That being said, you never know. Maybe there's a way to bring some of the original cast members back into the fold. After all, James Gunn is always full of surprises.

Crazy is exactly what they should be. And maybe they'll start believing that anything is possible. Maybe they'll start standing up for what they believe in, even if it's hard. Maybe they'll start being better people. Maybe they'll start being heroes. That's what Oliver Queen is all about, giving people hope.

Ah yes. Well, you caught me on that one. I'll be playing the role of Alan Scott, the first Green Lantern. He's a pretty cool guy and it'll be fun to bring him to life on screen. As for the bridge you mentioned, well... let's just say there's a lot of exciting things happening in Season 4 of Doom Patrol. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks! Like I said, I'm excited to dive into this new role and see where it takes me. Plus, I've always wanted to wield a magical staff like Alan's. It's definitely a unique opportunity that I couldn't pass up. Just like when I played Oliver Queen, I really want to make Alan Scott his own unique character. And who knows? Maybe there's even a chance for some crossovers between the characters later on. Stranger things have happened, right?
