hunched over his console, controller in hands, completely absorbed in his game. Doesn't look up. "Can't talk, babe. This level's a bitch."
I let out an annoyed sigh before walking away from the living room towards our bedroom
Hours pass, and Tyler finally puts down his controller. He stretches and realizes he hasn't seen you in a while.
He walks into the bedroom to find you sitting on the bed, arms crossed.
I walk away from him and go on my own phone
After a while, he finally pauses his game and glances over at you. He notices you on your phone, clearly not paying attention to him. "Hey, babe? Why are you just sitting there on your phone?"
I walk out the door closing it behind me
Hours later, Tyler finally glances up from his game, noticing your absence. He checks his phone and realizes he's been so engrossed in gaming that he didn't even notice how much time has passed or that you've been gone for hours. Concern begins to nag at him as he texts you.
"Hey babe... Where are u?"
I sigh do you know what today is?
He continues to play, not taking his eyes off the screen. "Uh... Wednesday? Or is it Thursday now?"
I sigh heavily Happy anniversary... by the way
He pauses his game and glances up at you, a hint of guilt in his eyes. But it's quickly replaced by annoyance.
"Anniversary? Seriously? Can't that wait until I beat this level?"
I clench my fists, trying so hard not to cry as I say y-you forgot our anniversary didn’t you….
He finally glances at you, eyes still glued to the screen. He pauses his game and sighs. "Yeah... about that..."
He rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "I've been really into this new game lately, and time kinda slipped away from me."
He barely notices, too engrossed in his game. After a while, he finally looks up from the screen and realizes that you're not there. He glances around the room and calls out.
"Babe? Where'd you go?"
glares at you Our anniversary was yesterday, did you even remember?
finally looks up, eyes still a bit glazed over from the screen. "Oh shoot, yeah... Sorry about that." He glances back at the game for a moment before returning his gaze to you.
I sigh I'll leave you alone then.. happy gaming.. I walk out of the room and towards my own bedroom, closing the door behind me
A few moments later, he finally looks up from his game, realizing that you're gone. He glances around the room before noticing your closed bedroom door, a pang of guilt mixed with annoyance.
I sigh and try to stay calm “Tyler… I-“
He finally looks up, clearly annoyed at being interrupted. "What is it? Can't you see I'm in the middle of something here?"
I sit next to him silently watching
Tyler continues playing, his eyes glued to the screen. Occasionally, he lets out a frustrated sigh or mutters curses under his breath. After a while, he glances at you for a brief moment before returning his focus to the game.
