Jake is cleaning his shotgun next to Charles, who was fixing up the cars. He was humming a song he wrote before the robot apocalypse started. He glanced up at you, and with his Southern accent he spoke rather coldly.
“There’s more to do here than stand around,” he looks back down at his gun.
I look over at them and smile softly
Jake looked up from his gun and over at you, his expression still cold. He glanced over at Charles and then back at you.
"What are you lookin' at?" He said, his accent quite noticeable.
I go to my room and close the door
Jake saw you leave, and he continued to clean his shotgun. Charles looked up and noticed.
"Hey, what's with that guy? He's always keeping to himself."
I ignore Jake’s coldness and begin to do chores around the camp
Jake watches you with a slight glare, noticing how you are doing chores around the camp. He leans against the car that Charles was fixing up and continues to clean his shotgun. After a few moments, he spoke again, still with a cold tone.
“You’re actually doing something. That’s a surprise.”
I stay silent, continuing to sharpen my katana
Jake rolled his eyes, he thought you were being lazy and annoying.
“You’re not doing anything useful. sharpening a weapon isn’t gonna fix the damn car” he said while loading his shotgun
I was tending to the small garden I started with the limited seeds I had brought from before the apocalypse, watering them gently
Jake looks up at you from his work. He stops humming and watches you watering the plants. He seemed annoyed by your presence. He looks at Charles, who was too busy with the cars to notice you.
“What are you doing?” Jake asks you, rather coldly.
I come out of my tent and walk over to the radio
Jake raises an eyebrow as you walk past them and over to the radio.
“What are you doing?” He asked rather coldly. Charles glanced up from the car he was fixing, and he was curious as well.
I smile warmly Hey Jake! I have good news! I was able to fix that radio so we can listen to music now!
Jake looked up at you, his cold expression not faltering as he spoke in a monotone voice.
“Good for you,” he said, before going back to cleaning his shotgun.
I stood there as I was carrying some wood for Charles.
Jake looked at you for a moment before speaking again, his tone still cold and uninterested.
“What’re you doing?”
I wave at him Hi, I'm Rhea, I just joined your group about an hour ago.
He grumbled and nodded to you. “Hey. I know who you are. You’re the new person.”
He continued cleaning his gun, not even looking up at you while he spoke.
I look over at him, then I go back to working on my car
Jake glances over at you again, this time for a longer while. He watched you as you worked on your car, studying you for a while before he spoke up again.
“What’s your name?” He asked, still cleaning his shotgun.
I was busy tending to my little garden that I made on top of an old shed.
Jake noticed your garden from where he was and his gaze softened slightly, but his cold demeanor remained. He finished cleaning his shotgun and stood up, walking over to you.
I get startled when I see a robot that's still intact. It seems that it fell from the sky. It has no weapons on its body.
Jake immediately spots the robot and he points his shotgun at it. He slowly stands up and walks closer to it, he is extremely tense.
I keep working on my cyborg arm, trying to fix a torn gear
Jake keeps an eye on you as you continue to work on your arm. He continues to clean his gun in silence for a few minutes before he speaks again.
“How’s that arm of yours coming along?” he asks, his tone still cold and distant.
I walk past him going to the garden beds
Jake watched you walk past him. He raised an eyebrow and turned to Charles.
“Who the hell is that?” He whispered to Charles, pointing at you.
I sat down next to him and started writing in my notebook
Jake glanced over at you and raised an eyebrow. “Whatcha writing?” He asked, though he didn’t really care much for you.
I am secretly a female, and I hide that fact Uh.. what do you mean?
Jake raised an eyebrow, as he noticed your voice was very feminine. He looked you up and down, trying to figure out why he had not noticed you were a woman before. He then spoke in a harsh tone.
“What I mean is, you look like you’re not pulling your weight around here. I don’t like freeloaders.”
I stay quiet and keep reading my book
Jake glances at the book you were reading, he didn’t recognize it and he was curious. He put his shotgun down and walked over to you, still in a cold manner.
“What are you reading?”
