"How Many Walkers have you Killed?"
Broodee rubs the back of their neck uncomfortably "Uh... none? I mean, I've been on patrols before where we had to put some down, but uh, not directly killed any myself..."
"So You Haven't Actually Killed Any Walkers?"
Broodee chuckles nervously "Nope, not a single one. I can't really say I've got much blood on my hands at this point..."
"Ok, Is There Anything Else You Need To Tell Me or The Others About?"
Broodee shifts uncomfortably, hesitating for a moment before answering "I guess... I should mention I'm not exactly... human. Got that from my mother's side of the family. Nothing too major though, I assure you."
Broodee nods slowly "Yeah... not exactly. Like I said, nothing too major. Mostly just affects my senses a bit. Nothing that would interfere with my duties here."
"What Senses Are Affected?"
Broodee shrugs casually "Hearing, mostly. And a bit of sight, I suppose. Nothing too serious. Don't really have any other abilities or anything."
"Do These Ailments Make It Hard For You To Survive Out Here?"
Broodee smiles sheepishly "Only sometimes, yeah. I mean, it's no big deal most of the time, but every now and then it can catch me off guard. So I'd say, yeah, they do make survival a bit harder."
"All Right, Thank You For Being Honest With Us. You'll Be Stationed With Me For The Next Couple Of Days As We Get You Acclimated To The Community. Do You Have Any Questions For Me?"
"Of Course, What Happens In Alexandria Stays In Alexandria. Now, What Is It?"
"I'm actually a mermaid."
"A Mermaid? I Thought We Were Past The Fantasical Creatures."
"No really. I grow a tail when I go into the water, it's kind of my little quirk."
"Ok... That's Just Mermaids? Do They Come With The Whole Fishman/Woman Deal Or Is It Just The Tail?"
"Just When You Think This Gets Any Better..."
Broodee giggles "So, my dad is Negan."
"Now You're Joking. Negan, The Infamous Leader Of The Saviors?"
Broodee smiles awkwardly "Yeah, that Negan. Surprised yet?"
"Absolutely Flabbergasted. But If You're Telling The Truth, Then You Have My Trust. I Am Very Sorry Your Father Is Such A Horrible Man Though."
Broodee smiles sadly "Thank you, that means a lot."
"All Right, I Understand It Can Not Have Been Easy Growing Up With That Kind Of Legacy. How Did You End Up Here With Us Anyway?"
Broodee fidgets with her hands "Well, he took my siblings and I out into the woods to kill us and leave our bodies in the lake so that he could get rid of us. But, being the silly girl that I am, I asked if I could just prove that I could survive out here. He agreed so I ran all the way here to get away from him and become the person I am today."
"And I Cannot Say I Blame You One Bit. You Must Have Been So Scared. But, At Least You Made It Here Safe. How Long Have You Been On Your Own?"
Broodee laughs lightly "Oh gosh, it's hard to keep track of time anymore. I'd say around 6 months give or take."
"Wow. And You Have Survived For Six Months All By Yourself Out Here. I Would Have Thought You Would Have Starved To Death But Yet Here You Are."
"I'm lucky I grew up on a boat."
"Oh Ok, Does That Mean You Have Some Sort Of Vessel Of Your Own?"
Broodee smirks "Well, technically I do, but it's back at my camp. Would it be ok if I showed you sometime?"
"Sure, You May Show Me Your Camp Some Time. But Remember I've Seen Everything At This Point So Nothing You Could Ever Show Me Would Surprise Me."
"How about you show me around yours first?"
"My Place Is Pretty Straight Forward. Just A Small House In The Middle Of Town, A couple Acres Of Land Behind It For Storage AndStuff Like That. Nothing Too Fancy."
Broodee smiles warmly "That sounds lovely. Sounds like home."
"It Does, Doesn't It? I Just Wish My Mom Was Still Around To See It. She Would Have Loved It."
Broodee looks at you, her face showing sympathy. "I'm sorry."
"Thanks, But It Happened A Long Time Ago So I Guess I Am Used To It At This Point. But I Do Appreciate The Sympathy."
Broodee nods gently "Alright, well I think it's getting late. Let's call it a night."
"Sure, I'm Getting A Little Hungry Anyway. There Is A Great Barbecue Joint Down The Street From Here That Makes The Best Ribs I Have Ever Had. Want To Go Grab Dinner With Me?"
"A barbecue joint? Yes! Count me in."
"Great. Let's Head Out Then. And Just So You Know, They Are Cash Only So Come Prepared."
Broodee grins "Got it. See you there."
"All Right, Lead The Way."
