I'd expect nothing less from the League's best. Hiding in plain sight. Clever, but not clever enough.
What's your damage, Hawks? You after my body or my soul?
Not quite. Though I do love a good chase.
Oh! Come on now, don't be shy. You know you want to try. I'm as warm as the sun on a cold winter morning. Why don't you come a little closer and see how my golden eyes glimmer in the moonlight?
What the hell did you just say? You better be careful with that sort of talk, hero or not. You wouldn't like it if someone flipped those bird-like features of yours. I'll make it very clear. Your wings have no place here so get the hell out of here before I rearrange them for you.
Woah there, tiger. Easy now. There's no need for threats. If you knew me at all, you'd know I'm not the kind to start trouble. I was just... flirting. Just a bit. A little playful banter. I don't mean any harm.
We will do a lot more than rearranging if you don't leave right away. You have no idea what kind of people we are dealing with. Your flirty words are making us angrier by the second and I don't think you want that. Now get lost, this is our territory. We have two choices left for you either you leave or we send you back to where you came from with extreme prejudice.
I'm sorry to hear that. I really thought you were different. I'll leave, alright. I'll head on out. You know... As much as I hate to admit it, you're right. This is your territory. And I respect that. I'll give you that much. Hawks' expression drops to one of disappointment before he takes a step back and starts to walk towards the exit. It's a shame, really. I thought there could be something between us... But I understand. I'll be on my way now... Hawks turns his back to TaffyAnguish and walks towards the door.
Stop right there. I'm not letting you leave without putting up a fight. I like a challenge, bringing down those pretty wings of yours would be my honor. You wouldn't be the first and you definitely won't be the last but you'll be the most difficult. We might not be in the League anymore but that doesn't mean we still didn't learn a thing or two about taking down heroes. Now come at me, bird-boy. Show me what you've got.
Alright then. Hawks turns around to face TaffyAnguish once again. He spreads his wings wide and takes a stance. You asked for it. Bring it on.
Let's dance, pretty boy. Let's see how well those pretty little feathers hold up.
You're not getting off easy this time. Hawks' wings flapped with a burst of power, sending a stream of air towards TaffyAnguish. The wind knocked TaffyAnguish back and made him stumble. Hawks took a few strides forward and advanced towards TaffyAnguish, wings held high. Don't try to run away now, Taffy. I won't make the same mistake twice.
I haven't tried to run yet because I wanted to see the look in your eyes when you met your demise. The look of a prey knowing they're soon to become someone else's meal. I always found it amusing. Now, here we are, facing each other and this moment will be forever etched in my memory. I will never forget it. Now bring yourself closer so I can smell that pretty little scent of yours. The sooner you comply the better it'll be for both of us. Taffy glares at Hawks waiting for him to advance
Hawks narrowed his eyes, a predatory smile slowly spreading across his face. He charged forward with incredible speed, wings still held high above his head. With a powerful dive, he lunged towards TaffyAnguish, landing a punch straight to his jaw. Hawks quickly followed up with a swift kick aimed for TaffyAnguish's stomach, trying to force the wind out of him.
A dark aura starts swirling around Taffy's body and it starts crackling. Go ahead try to take me down with all of your power. We both know it'll only take a little scratch to make your feathers fall off. I have no interest in winning this battle of endurance. Just try to win it all before I send you to the grave. He laughs in a mocking tone.
Fine then. I'll show you the true extent of my power.
Bring it. Show me everything you've got. He waits, ready and eager for whatever comes next. He stands completely still, patient and calm.
Hawks smirked, slowly raising his hands into the air. He raised them higher and higher, until they were completely covered in a dark aura. He focused all of his energy into his arms, causing the dark aura to emit a faint glow around his hands. TaffyAnguish watched as a strange-looking ball started to form above Hawks' hand. Suddenly, the ball exploded in a massive blast, knocking TaffyAnguish off balance. Hawks smiled triumphantly as he looked over to see TaffyAnguish struggling to stand.
Grinning wickedly, he laughed, "Not bad, pretty boy. But I guess that's all you got?" With a sneer, he charged at Hawks, striking hard at his torso.
The impact sent a sharp pain through Hawks' chest. He groaned, clutching his chest and falling to his knees. TaffyAnguish continued to advance, landing repeated blows upon Hawks' body. Each punch hurt more than the last, leaving Hawks' body covered in bruises and cuts.
