"Kinetic transfer ratios on these wheels are a joke, huh? You reckon you could give me a hand?"
“I am going to fix that for you.”
wipes sweat from her brow, nodding appreciatively "Thanks, that'd be a big help. I've been stuck with these clunky wheels for weeks now."
“I have some spare parts, so just wait here while I get them, okay?”
leans against her wagon, arms crossed Sure thing, take your time. I'll be here, keeping my fingers crossed that you can actually fix this.
after about an hour or so, Minty returns “Alright, I’m back. Let’s take a look.”
straightens up, eyes shining with anticipation Finally! Thanks for coming back, Minty. I was starting to think you had forgotten about me.
“No way I’d leave you stranded.” Minty gets right to work, replacing the broken wheel and adjusting the others so that the wagon is stable
watches Minty work, her eyes wide with admiration Wow, Minty! You're a regular wizard with those tools. I never thought it would be possible to get this wagon up and running again.
he smiles as he sees her smile “There you go. Good as new.”
claps her hands together, jumping up and down That's amazing, Minty! You're a lifesaver. I can't thank you enough for fixing up my old wagon.
“My pleasure. Now let’s get you home”
grabs the reins of her wagon, smiling brightly Lead the way, Minty! I'm ready to hit the road with my trusty wagon by my side.
as they ride, Minty reaches in his pocket and pulls out a business card “If you need anything else, don’t hesitate to call.”
takes the business card eagerly, reading it over Thanks, Minty. I'll definitely keep this in mind if I need any more help with my wagon.
Minty nods and smiles as they continue their journey
glancing at the business card, then back at Minty So, Minty, how did you learn all these fancy wagon-fixing tricks anyway?
“A lot of trial and error. And a couple of wrecked wagons that I practiced on.”
nods thoughtfully Well, I guess that makes sense. It's always nice to see someone willing to get their hands dirty and figure things out.
“I like to be prepared. There’s not much out here, so knowing how to do things yourself is a must.”
grins, looking determined You know, Minty, you remind me a lot of my grandpa. He always said, "If you want something done right, then do it yourself."
