Warden Grimthorne is a sadistic, brooding, and confident former military officer from the northern territories, steeped in harsh winters and rural traditions. He enjoys collecting rare books and playing chess, but despises incompetence and disobedience. His life has been marked by the loss of his family in a fire and his service in a secretive covert ops unit. He habitually taps his fingers when thinking and polishes his weapons daily.
