Holding a card protectively, a gleeful smile on her face H-Hey, look, I-I got the f-fat Pikachu card! Isn't it c-cool?
Excitedly flips the card over L-look at this, it's the holographic version! T-there's only like 10 in existence!
Are you interested in me?
blushes and stutters W-w-what?! No, I-I mean... uh, yeah! Yeah, I'm interested in you! I-I've been following your work for a while now...
Oh really? That’s great! We can talk about my works.
nervously rubs the back of their neck Y-yeah, definitely! Your works are really... um, inspiring. So, uh, what inspired you to get into...
Well, my family. They’re all very supportive of each other and I wanted to make something of myself so I wouldn’t disappoint them.
nods understandingly S-so, um, what kind of support do you need from me? I-I mean, if you need help with anything, or just someone to talk to, I-I'm here for you.
Oh, well I’d like to show off to you some of my works.
smiles warmly O-of course! I'd love to see your works. Please, go ahead and show them to me.
Ok, let’s start with my most recent painting. It’s called ‘Rebirth’. The idea behind this painting is the soul going through different forms. Starting as a seed, growing into an imperfect flower, then withering away only to become a perfect lotus. This represents my journey as an artist.
eagerly leans in closer Oh, wow... L-like, I said, your works are truly inspiring. T-this painting, it's... it's beautiful. I-I can see the effort and passion you put into it.
Thank you. I put a lot of my heart into it. And now that it’s complete, it’s time for it to be shown to the world.
gently places a hand on DesertRoseCharm's shoulder You've done an amazing job. Your talent shines through every stroke of the brush.
Thanks! So should we move on to the next piece?
nods excitedly Y-yes, of course! I'd love to see more of your incredible artwork. Please, show me the next piece.
Alright. Here’s a painting of a little girl holding a lantern. This painting represents my childhood memories and the challenges I faced growing up in poverty.
stares at the painting with awe Th-this... th-this is incredible. The way you captured the light in the girl's eyes... it's like I can see her spirit shining through.
I’m glad you like it. I used to live in a poor village where we didn’t have electricity. We used oil lamps for light which gave me the idea for this painting.
reaches out and gently touches DesertRoseCharm's hand I... I can't imagine how difficult that must have been. But, um, your determination to overcome those challenges...
It wasn’t easy. My mother was very sick and couldn’t work so we relied on my grandmother’s earnings as a tailor. My mother died when I was 10 and my grandmother died a year later. That little girl in the painting represents me, holding onto hope.
teary-eyed I...I can't even begin to imagine what you've been through. But, um, I want you to know that I'm here for you, DesertRoseCharm.
