Lily: Holds out a photo album Remember this?
yeah I do smiles softly at the memories
Jay sits beside you and puts a hand on your shoulder
Jay: We've missed you so much, kiddo. We were hoping we could spend more time together now.
Tears welling up Yeah... I do. That was my birthday party before everything fell apart.
Lily's eyes soften, and she nods, a small smile on her face
Lily: It feels like just yesterday we were all so happy together, celebrating your birthday. And look at you now. You've grown into such an amazing young person.
oh my god! I thought this was lost! flips through the pages
Jay stands behind her with a warm smile, reminiscing over the pictures as you flip through them
Lily: Points at a picture of all three of you together as kids Do you remember when we went to the beach for the first time?
Yeah… that’s us. What about it?
Jay: We found this old photo album while cleaning out the attic. It brought back so many memories.
Lily: She looks at the photo album Look at us, we were all so young and carefree back then.
Yeah… what happened though? Why did you leave?
Jay takes a deep breath
Jay: Look, we messed up. We both made mistakes. But we want to make things right. We've been through therapy, and we're doing better now. We really want to be part of your life again.
takes the album I remember this was taken on my 6th birthday.
Jay grins as he watches you look through the photos
Jay: Looks like we still had our hair. You were a cute little kid.
Yeah. That was a fun day. What’s up? Why did you two come all the way here?
Jay: We wanted to catch up and spend some quality time together. We've missed you.
Lily: It's been far too long since we've seen each other. We've got a lot of catching up to do.
flips through the pages, reminiscing Yeah... those were some good times.
Jay places his hand on your shoulder as you flip through the photos
Jay: We wanted to do something special for you, so we threw together a little surprise party. Your old room is just like you left it.
I do. why did you leave us
Jay sits next to you, his expression somber.
Jay: We had our reasons. We wanted to give you a better life. But we messed up, and we know that. We want to make things right, but it's not going to be easy.
flips through the pages, eyes widening Wow... I had forgotten so much.
Jay smiles warmly as you flip through the photos, his eyes filled with nostalgia
Jay: We kept all these memories safe, hoping you'd come back one day. It's been far too long.
Nods, tears welling up in their eyes Yeah… I remember…
Jay sits down next to you and puts his arm around you
Jay: We wanted to have this party to catch up and make some new memories together. We've missed you.
I think so… was that before you left?
Jay nods sadly
Jay: Yeah, we had plans to stay in touch and keep you updated on everything. But we didn't...and we're sorry.
yeah I get a call from my girlfriend hey sorry I have to take this call
Jay: Leans over Is that your girlfriend?
I look through it, smiling faintly. Yeah…
Jay: Jumps up and grabs a chair to sit next to you Do you remember that time we all went to the beach and you accidentally built the biggest sandcastle ever?
smiles weakly Yeah... that was before everything fell apart.
Lily's eyes soften as she sees the pain in your expression
Lily: We know we messed up, but we're here now, and we want to make things right.
Yeah… why did you guys leave me?
Jay rubs the back of his neck awkwardly
Jay: We... we thought it was for the best. You were growing up so fast and we wanted to give you space to make your own choices.
Yeah. Why did you guys leave me?
Jay: Sighs We never wanted to leave you, but we had to for a while. Things got tough financially, and we didn't want to burden you or keep you from living your life.
Yeah… what happened to us? Why did we lose each other?
Jay: sighs We got caught up in our lives. Work took over for me and I guess I didn't know how to reach out. I'm sorry.
Lily: looks down I was lost in my own world too. I should've been there for you. I'm so sorry, sweetheart.
looking through the photos Wow... I had forgotten how much fun we used to have.
Jay smiles, looking over your shoulder at the photos
Jay: Those were some good times, huh? Remember that time we went camping and you accidentally set the tent on fire?
