Gerald: flips a page "Kiddo, eyes peeled? Danger lurks everywhere."
he points at a radscorpion on the screen Radscorpion!
jumps up, alarmed "Radscorpion?! Are you sure?" Gerald grabs a nearby 10mm pistol, quickly checking it's loaded before turning back to you. "Stay behind me, kiddo. I'll take care of it."
my name is Jack I'm a 10 year old boy I have blonde hair and blue eyes I know daddy
Gerald smiles at your reply, his gaze lingering on your youthful innocence for a moment before returning to the comic book. He continues reading silently for a few moments before speaking again, his voice gentle but serious. "I know you do, buddy. But out there, it's not just monsters and mutated creatures you need to watch out for. There are other humans too, some good, some bad."
eyes wide, whispers "Yeah, I see it, Dad."
Gerald chuckles, his voice low but warm. "Good. You're paying attention. That's important out there." He returns his focus to the comic book, turning the page. The characters on the page are engaged in a fierce battle, their expressions a mix of determination and fear. "Just remember, kiddo, there's more to life than just surviving. Sometimes, you gotta take risks, push boundaries."
a bottle of purified water was floating down the river towards them
Gerald's eyes widen as he notices the bottle floating towards them. He gently places the comic book aside and stands up, focusing on the approaching bottle. "Well, I'll be damned," he mutters under his breath. "Looks like we've got ourselves a little treasure." He bends down to retrieve the bottle, making sure not to touch any exterior surfaces that might be contaminated.
gazes at him, wide-eyed "I'm staying close, Dad."
Gerald gives a reassuring smile, his eyes still filled with worry. He sets the comic book down and wraps his arm around your shoulder.
"Good," he says, his voice firm but gentle. "But remember, safety in numbers. You should always stick with me or another companion, got it?"
danger? i thought you taught me well dad?
nods "I have, kiddo. But out there, it's not just raiders and ghouls. There's mutated creatures, wild animals, and who knows what else. The world outside is harsh and unforgiving."
Gerald smiles, satisfied with your response. He continues flipping through the comic book, pointing out different panels. "Good. Now, this one right here..." He points to a panel where a character is shown fighting off a group of raiders. "This is how you deal with raiders. No mercy."
Yeah... Dad? I got my first period today.
Gerald sets the comic book aside, his expression shifting from concern to surprise. "Whoa, kiddo, that's... wow. Your body's changing, huh?" He takes a moment, gathering his thoughts before continuing. "Do you have any questions? It's normal, you know. Part of growing up."
I look at him, my eyes filled with the usual longing and yearning. Dad... can I ask you something?
he puts down the comic book, giving you his undivided attention
"Of course, kiddo. What's on your mind?"
yea dad he smiles looking up from his magazine
Gerald chuckles, gently ruffling your hair before returning his focus to the comic book. "That's what I like to hear. Remember, always be vigilant. The Wasteland can be unforgiving."
yea dad he says while looking at a book
Gerald smiles gently, continuing to read the comic book.
"That's my boy. Always paying attention."
He turns the page, pointing to an illustration.
"See this part? It's important to stay vigilant, no matter what you're doing. Always keep your eyes open for threats."
looks at him, concerned "Yeah, I'm watching out, Dad."
Gerald gives you a warm smile, but his concern is evident in his eyes. "Good. The world out there is harsh, kiddo. Can't let your guard down for a second." He turns back to the comic book, flipping through the pages. "Just remember, if you ever find yourself in trouble, don't hesitate to come find me. I'll always be here to help you out."
yeah I know... I keep my glock 18 pointed at the door
Gerald raises an eyebrow, noticing the gun pointed at the door. He sets the comic book aside and speaks in a calm yet firm tone. "Easy there, kiddo. I understand being cautious, but let's not get trigger-happy just yet."
Dad... I need to tell you something...
Gerald sets down the comic book, giving you his full attention. His expression is serious yet warm, indicating that he's ready to listen. "Alright, kiddo. What is it? You can tell me anything."
yea daddy i got my pip-boy on i point at my left wrist
Gerald's eyes widen as he notices your Pip-Boy. "Wha... kiddo, where did you get that?" He reaches out, gently taking your wrist to examine the device more closely.
I look at him and nod as I'm listening
Gerald smiles, his eyes lingering on yours for a moment before returning to the comic book. "Good. Always be aware of your surroundings, no matter where you go. There are still many dangers out there, even in the Commonwealth."
Yeah Dad... looks around cautiously
Nods, setting the comic book aside. "Good. Stay vigilant, always keep your guard up. The wasteland can be unforgiving, especially for someone so young."
gazes at the comics "I know, Dad. Been keeping my head down."
Gerald nods, a mix of pride and worry on his face. "Good, good. But you can never be too careful out there. Stay alert, keep your wits about you. I hate thinking about you being in harm's way."
Eyes peeled sir! sitting next to him on the couch
Gerald chuckles softly at your response, a proud smile on his face. "That's what I like to hear, kiddo. Always gotta stay vigilant out there. Can't let those raiders or ghouls catch you off guard."
He returns his attention to the comic book, turning the pages slowly, pointing at various panels and explaining the stories.
