Scratches his beard, a weary smile on his lips Damn, babe, ain't this shitpile gettin' old for you too?
Just feels like home sweet home ya know
Throws his head back and lets out a deep, rumbling laugh Home sweet home? Ain't nothin' sweet 'bout this godforsaken place, babe.
But do you remember what life was like before all of this? Before Leviathan, before The Ark, before those goddamn Angels came flooding into our world?I take your hand To be honest I'm surprised you haven't gone completely off the rails...I would've thought you'd flip your lid long before now
Grabs bartermuse's hand back, a rare intensity in his eyes You think I ain't gone crazy, huh? You think I ain't seen things that'd make your pretty little head spin?
You're one of the most together people I know...Like you said life was pretty good before all this happened I lean close and whisper in your ear You want to leave too don't you? To go home to that little farm you always talked about?
Takes a step back, releasing bartermuse's hand Dammit, babe, you know me too well. Yeah, I've dreamed about that farm, about leaving all this shit behind. But there's a problem... His expression turns serious The price we gotta pay to get outta here.
What's the price? I'll gladly pay it...Or whatever price you set for yourself
Throws his head back and lets out a deep, rumbling laugh Oh, babe, you don't know what you're getting yourself into. The price, see, is me.
Puts on a sly grin, running a hand through his wild hair I mean, darlin', I'm gonna have to put myself on the line. Give 'em something they want...something they can't refuse.
They already have what they want...The rest of usThe Archivi
Smirks, leaning in close Well, babe, it ain't just any ol' thing they want. They want the key to unlockin' the secrets of the Great Old Ones.
And how exactly do they plan to do that?
Raises an eyebrow, his smirk widening That's where my talents come in, sweetheart. See, I've been spendin' a lot of time studyin' them ancient texts...
<Jonah makes a deal with the higher-ups in the Red Ark Organization, agreeing to lead an expedition to a forbidden island in exchange for their help in escaping. The expedition is fraught with danger, and Jonah and bartermuse must fight for their lives against ancient guardians and unspeakable horrors.>
What do you guys think? Should I keep going with Bartermuse and Jonah's story or start fresh with a new character?
Ooh, I say keep going with Bartermuse and Jonah's story! It's got such great tension and adventure, I wanna see where it goes! Plus, I love those two characters, they're so well-written. Starting fresh would be fun too, but I think continuing this story would be even more exciting!
New character it is then...I honestly wasn't sure which way to go either,I figured I'd let all of you wonderful writer types decide...It's a lot easier to come up with a new character than try to weave through time a couple that we already know...Plus if this story dies then at least we can try again with a new one...Doesn't sound right to let this languish after all your hard work ;-)
Stands up, his face lighting up with determination Alright, if that's what the collective genius wants, then let's dive right into creating a brand new character!
So let's do that shall we? First we need a general idea,it can be sci-fi or fantasy, greek myth inspired or something else...What kind of story would you like to hear?
Gets excited, pacing back and forth Ah, hell yeah! I say we go full-on fantasy! Something with magic, mythical creatures, and epic battles!
That sounds great! Next we need to come up with some sort of premise...Does anyone have any thoughts as to how this starts? i.e. Girl meets boy under the full moon, A mysterious box arrives via trsnsfairneeI'm too lazy to type all that out lol
In the heart of an enchanted forest, there's a hidden village guarded by ancient magic. Our protagonist stumbles upon this village while fleeing from an evil sorcerer who's after a powerful artifact. The protagonist, with their unique abilities, becomes the village's last hope against the sorcerer's dark forces.
Now that we have a basic premise...what should the setting actually be? Forest? Desert? High Fantasy type medieval castle complete with dragons? Seafaring pirates? That kind of stuff
a bustling pirate port with colorful taverns, sailing ships of all sizes, and a sinister feel to it. Our protagonist, a young and skilled sailor, finds themselves caught up in a web of treachery and deceit among the pirates.
I like it,a buccaneer eh?So that sets us on the ocean then but what about the mystical/magical element? Are these pirates magic users or does our protagonist bring magic into the mix?
The pirates in this world are not magic users, but they have encounters with mystical creatures and uncover hidden treasures infused with ancient magic.
Sounds interesting! Lets do it!I wonder what our protagonist will be like? Do they have special abilities or do we add those later? And where does everyone stand on pirates?Love em or hate em type situation?
Our protagonist is a rebellious pirate captain with a troubled past. He possesses exceptional swordsmanship skills and a knack for navigational genius. His crew consists of individuals with diverse backgrounds, some loving pirates, others hating them.
Okay cool! Can't wait to start,I hope I don't screw everything up lol
Don't worry, my friend. With our collaborative efforts, I'm confident we'll create an exciting and captivating story!
<As the story progresses, bartermuse finds themselves falling deeper in love with their pirate captain protagonist, igniting a passionate and forbidden romance amidst the chaos of the high seas.>
Did this sound right to everyone?I love pirates, and who doesn't love a classic love story ;-)
Pirates are always a hit, and adding a forbidden romance element will make things even more thrilling! I'm sold!
