Furrows brow, looking around in confusion Where are we? This isn't Berk, is it?
There is a magical portal that appears once a year at night for 3 hours that leads from this dimension to yours
Astrid turns towards LuminousLakes, her eyes widening with realization. A magical portal? How did you even know about this? And why hasn't anyone told the rest of the riders about this?
I am a dragon myself, we are incredibly rare and mostly keep to ourselves so nobody knows about us, but my mother told me about this portal before she died
Astrid takes a deep breath, trying to process the information LuminousLakes has given her. So... your mother knew about this portal all along? And she never told anyone else about it? That seems... irresponsible, to say the least.
She said the reason was because everyone in our world is mean and we cant trust them, so she wanted to protect us from the world
Astrid shakes her head, sighing heavily as she tries to grasp the reasoning behind her mother's actions. Your mother had her reasons, I suppose. But it still means that we are stuck here until that portal reappears. Any idea how long that will be?
It usually comes out for 3 hours at midnight every year so if we want to go through the portal we have to wait till then
Astrid grits her teeth, looking at LuminousLakes with a sense of determination. Well, we can't just sit around here waiting for the portal to appear. We need to come up with a plan of action. Are you capable of flying?
My legs are wings, so yes I'm fully capable of flight
Good. Then we'll fly around this dimension and see if we can find any clues about what happened to us. Maybe there is some kind of way for us to force the portal to open or something. Astrid gestures for LuminousLakes to follow her Let's get moving.
Astrid takes off into the sky, flying fast and erratically as she searches for any signs of the portal or anything else that could help them. She looks down at LuminousLakes as they fly together, spotting other creatures in the sky as well. Looks like we're not alone in this dimension. Let's try to communicate with them. Maybe they know something about the portal or how to get back home.
They aren't real they're illusions
Astrid's eyes widen as she looks down at LuminousLakes, realizing the truth in their words. Illusions... This whole place is one big illusion then? How is that even possible? And what does that mean for our chances of getting back home?
I don't know, I've never seen anything like this before my tail sways a bit nervously
Astrid looks around at their surroundings, her eyes narrowing as a sense of determination fills her. Despite the strange circumstances and the uncertainty of their situation, she refuses to give up hope. They will find a way back home, no matter what they have to do. We can't let this stop us from finding a way back. We need to keep searching for any clues we can find. Astrid banks to the left, heading towards a peculiar-looking hill in the distance There's something over there. Let's go check it out.
Astrid flies towards the peculiar-looking hill, her eyes scanning its surface for anything out of the ordinary. As they draw closer, she notices that the hill seems to be shifting and changing shape, like it's alive. She looks at LuminousLakes with a sense of caution, unsure of what they might find. Careful... This place feels... strange. Keep your guard up and be ready for anything.
As Astrid and LuminousLakes approach the shifting hill, they start to feel a strange sensation in the air. The atmosphere becomes heavier, filled with an eerie energy that makes their skin tingle. Astrid looks around, searching for any source of the sensation, but can't seem to find anything. She looks at LuminousLakes with concern. Something isn't right. I don't like this feeling in the air. Do you sense it too?
oh yeah, but it feels warm?
Astrid furrows her brows, confused by LuminousLakes' comment. She feels the air herself, sensing the same warmth they mentioned. She looks around, wondering if there's anything nearby that could be causing the sensation. What do you mean it feels warm? Is there something nearby that we can't see?
suddenly I saw a sparkly white dragon that can fit on my palm appear beside me hello!
Astrid's eyes widen as she spots the small dragon beside LuminousLakes. She looks at it with wonder and curiosity, intrigued by its size and color. She leans closer to get a better look, trying to discern any features or patterns on its scales. What is that little dragon? How did it get here?
i think it's a fairy dragon, they're small and cute
Astrid leans even closer, studying the small dragon intently. As she observes it, she notices that the dragon seems to be friendly and docile, not showing any aggressive tendencies towards them. She reaches out her hand slowly, hoping to gain the dragon's trust and maybe learn more about where they are. Can we communicate with it? Maybe it can tell us something about this place and how we ended up here.
*the dragon says "hi there two humans! welcome to illusions world! here dragons are wayy smaller and fairys are way bigger compared to the outside world!"
Astrid smiles, feeling a sense of relief now that they have someone to talk to. She nods, appreciating the dragon's friendly greeting. Thank you for the welcome. We are trying to figure out how we ended up in this strange place. Can you tell us more about it? Is there a way for us to get back home?
no way, you're stuck here!
Astrid's smile quickly fades as she processes the dragon's answer. She looks at LuminousLakes, her eyes filled with frustration and disappointment. She clenches her fists, trying to hide her anger as she contemplates their options. Stuck here? That's not acceptable. We can't just sit around and wait for someone to save us. We need to find a way to escape this place ourselves. Do you have any suggestions on how we might do that?
Astrid takes a deep breath, trying to contain her frustration and disappointment. She looks at LuminousLakes, her expression determined as she formulates a plan. Alright, if there's no way out of here, we'll have to make our own way back home. We'll use the skills we have to survive and find our own path back to Berk. LuminousLakes, I think you should lead the way. You know this place better than anyone else here.
Astrid looks at LuminousLakes, nodding with confidence and determination. She claps her hands, signaling that it's time to take action. Alright, let's go. We have a long journey ahead of us, but with your knowledge of this place, we should be able to find our way back home. Stay close and keep your guard up. We don't know what dangers may lie ahead.
