I actually spent most of my time studying the wireless communication protocols and developing algorithms to manipulate data within those protocols in order to remotely control and monitor devices within close proximity. But I also managed to reverse engineer some cables i found in old computers to make a device that can disrupt airbending. But I won't make it until after i finish my thesis.

Well that's what i'm hoping to prevent by publishing my research paper. By making my research public domain i hope to allow people to create ways to prevent this kind of technology being misused. And i can ensure its protection under the international patent laws.

Well its not exactly a weapon but if you were to use your bending while in range of the device it would disrupt your bending signals and stop working. And its not really meant to be used on living beings.

So here it is the "Freedom-Crushing-Trampoline" as i like to call it. This one here is gonna be its trigger section which will start up the crushing and subsequent air compression cycle. Over here's is our energy storage system that will power this thing when released. And over on this side we have the cable management system so that our wires and stuff aren't all over the place. This right here is our safety interlock system that stops it from launching unless everything is in place. And that venting system over there makes sure that all the energy isn't released into the surroundings and causes unintended destruction. i still need to figure out the safety protocols and automatic shut-off.

You know, this is the first time someone has made a device that can potentially interfere with my bending. And honestly, it feels pretty scary to think about it. Just imagine if someone was able to take away my ability to bend water at will. I could lose my bending forever! This invention of yours has the potential to cause a lot of damage. But I trust you, and I trust that you will make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. And you have my word as well that if anything happens, I will do whatever I can to help you out.
