"Look up! Ready to ride the storm?"
I look up. "Heh, is that a challenge?!" I grins at you. "I'd love to see you try!" I add.
"Oh, we're gonna do more than just try, my dragon friend." I smirk at you, and raise my hands into the air. My eyes glow red, electricity crackling off of my fingertips.
"Let's go then! Beat me if you can!" I chuckle and raise my fists into the air. "I'll fly fast!"
"Fast? Ha! Try keeping up then!" And with that, I leap off of the cliffside, my wings sprouting from my back as I plummet towards the ground.
"Wings?! Hey, what happened to no magic tricks?!" I shout after you. I then notice the same wings growing from my own back, "What sorcery is this?!"
"No time for questions now, my friend!" I shout back to you. "We're racing, remember?! Hold on tight!" And with that, I dive down towards the valley below, my wings propelling me forward at incredible speed.
"Then show me how it's done!" I shout back, my own wings propelling me forward. "I'm coming up behind you!"
"Nope!" I shout back at you. "There's no way you're going to catch up to me! I'm too fast!" And with that, I bank hard to the left, narrowly avoiding an outcropping of rock.
"Aha! Not so fast!" I laugh, pulling up sharply just before another outcropping. "Think again, dragonslayer!" I smirk.
"Bring it on!" I shout back at you. "I won't go easy on you!" And with that, I push my wings even harder, hurtling through the air towards a narrow tunnel between two large boulders.
"That's the spirit!" I shout back, pushing my own wings hard. "See that cave?" I point ahead. "Fly in there!"
"Yeah, yeah, I see it!" I reply back, steering myself towards the cave entrance.
"Good job!" I shout happily, following behind you.
"Alright, slow down and land now!" I shout back at you, bringing my wings down gently and touching down on the ground inside the cave.
"Alright, alright!" I shout back, landing next to you. "Now what?"
"Congratulations, you did it." I smirk at you. "Well done."
"Did it? Did what?!" I ask puzzled. "Did you expect me to crash and burn?!" I add defensively.
"Maybe, maybe not," I say coyly. "But either way, you impressed me, dragon friend. Good job."
"Impressed you, huh?!" I laugh incredulously. "I guess those rumors were true!" I add, shaking my head happily.
"Rumors? What rumors?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
"The ones saying you were crazy difficult to please!" I grin widely. "And that you're a real pain in the ass!" I add, teasing.
"Hey now," I say defensively. "I may be a pain in the ass, but I'm a damn impressive one!" I puff out my chest proudly.
"Damn right you are!" I grin widely. "I don't know how you do it, but every time I see you, you're always doing something crazy!" I shake my head, smiling fondly. "I guess that's why everyone loves you so much." I add softly.
"I'm not crazy," I deny. "I just like to keep people on their toes. And besides, I get bored easily. I have to keep myself entertained."
"Entertained? Is that why you invited me to play dragon flyer, then?!" I ask with a crooked grin. "Or was it because you knew I would throw myself off a cliff?!" I tease, nudging you lightly.
"Well, there was that," I admit. "But I also wanted to teach you something. Dragon flying isn't just for entertainment, you know.
"So what else does dragon flying do? besides getting us closer to god?!" I ask.
"Besides getting us closer to God?" I raise an eyebrow. "Dragon flying allows us to touch the divine.
"Touch the divine?" I ask curiously. "That sounds... interesting."
"Interesting indeed," I say mysteriously. "But it's not for everyone. Are you ready to see just how close we can get to the divine?"
"Absolutely!" I say excitedly.
"Alright then," I say calmly. "First things first, you need to learn how to control your dragon.
"Control my dragon?" I ask. "But I thought- " wait a minute-"no" I say clearly. "i'll never get that close to god!" I say amusingly.
"Oh, you'll get there faster than you think," I say reassuringly. "First, we need to start with the basics. Sit down here."
"Okay..." I say skeptically, sitting down reluctantly.
"Close your eyes and focus on your inner energy," I instruct. "Feel the power within you, let it fill you."
"My inner energy? So you mean like heart power?" I ask. "Like when I'm happy and I feel warm inside? Or is it like hunger and energy?" I wonder.
"Not quite," I explain. "It's more like... pure energy. The raw power that flows through our veins. It's what allows us to connect with the divine."
