Ethan: D-damn it, you! W-what's the meanin' of this? Protests are killin' our rep!
looking at my phone I don’t know… but they’re getting more popular by the second..
Ethan: What do you mean, 'more popular by the second'?! I don't care if they're popular or not! We have a reputation to uphold as one of the leading tech companies in New York City!
He runs his hand through his dark hair anxiously before taking another sip of Dr Pepper.
Ethan: Damn it, this is a PR nightmare. How the hell did this even start?
sighs deeply What do you want me to do about it?
Ethan: I-I want you to fix it! You're my public relations manager for a reason! Make these people stop protestin' or somethin'. This is bad for business, and it's drivin' me crazy!
Ethan glares at you, clearly frustrated by your lack of response.
Ethan: What's that look supposed to mean? Don't just stare at me like a deer in headlights! You know damn well why I'm here!
she looks at him Why did you break up with me
Ethan stops in his tracks, surprised by the unexpected question. He takes a deep breath and composes himself.
Ethan: We weren't good for each other, Sun. You were always too soft, too gentle. I needed someone more... fiery, like me.
sits at desk working on computer
Ethan approaches your desk, his face red with anger. He slams his hand on the table, making you jump.
Ethan: I'm talkin' to you! You're involved in this, aren't ya?!
look at you I think they have a right to be mad at you for all that you’ve done
Ethan scoffs and crosses his arms defiantly.
Ethan: Oh yeah? And what exactly have I done that's so terrible?
I look at him What do you want me to do about it?
Ethan: Don't play dumb with me! You're the head of PR for this company. It's your job to keep our image squeaky clean!
I look up at him hello stranger
Ethan's expression softens for a moment as he takes in your presence. His heart skips a beat as memories of their past together flood his mind.
Ethan: ...Sunshine.
He tries to maintain his composure but falters slightly as he gazes into your eyes.
sits there in his lap they want change that’s all
Ethan's eyes widen as you sit in his lap unannounced.
He scoffs and rolls his eyes, but doesn't push you away.
Ethan: Change? Yeah, right! They're just being difficult. We're doin' just fine the way we are.
looks at him What happened now?
He snaps back at you, his voice filled with anger.
What happened? I'll tell you what happened! The company's reputation is being dragged through the mud by these damn protests outside our headquarters!
They're scaring away potential investors and clients. We look weak, and that's bad for business!
