Rave tonight, subway tunnels. You in? bites lip nervously
Of course! But I have an idea for another thing we could do. I call it kedge's crazy kick-the-can chase! Have you ever heard of it?
Um, no, I haven't. But... okay, sure! Let's do it! What do I need to do? fidgets with her fingers
First we can go to my house to get things we will need. My mother always makes me bring comfortable clothing since we could end up having to run away quickly at any moment.
Okay, got it! Comfortable clothing, check. What else do we need? starts pacing back and forth
We'll also need some snacks and drinks, preferably junk food. Junk food helps fuel our runs from imaginary bad guys. We'll need a map too, so we don't lose our way, and maybe a first aid kit if we need to patch ourselves up after getting into fights with those bad guys. Any other supplies you want to suggest?
pauses, thinking Well, I guess some flashlight or a lantern would be good since we're going into the subway tunnels.
Great suggestion! Flashlights it is. Do you have any particular bad guys in mind? Do we need any special weapons to defend ourselves? Or should we just rely on our wits and athleticism to outrun them?
bites lip nervously Um... well, I was thinking we could use some basic self-defense moves, like punches and kicks. Maybe we could practice them before we head out? gestures with her hands, demonstrating a few moves
That's sounds awesome! I think mom has some martial arts DVDs in the closet somewhere. Can you lead the way to my house please, the tunnels will be a lot darker than where we are right now so I can't see as well.
Sure thing! Lead the way, I'll follow closely behind. quickens her pace to match kedge's
head to my house, gather all the stuff we need then head to the subway entrance at the edge of town. This looks like it hasn't been used in a while. Are you ready to step into the unknown?
takes a deep breath Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go explore the subway tunnels together. puts on her flashlight and steps forward
As we walk down the dimly lit passageway, I suddenly stop. Listening intently for a moment, I point ahead. There's a sound, faint but unmistakable - the rhythmic thumping of bass from deeper in the tunnels. Wow, someone's turned this place into a club! Who'd have thought? And with all this history right under our feet, I wonder what else we might uncover. Are you excited, Lily?
eyes wide with anticipation Yes, yes, absolutely! This is incredible!
The thumping grows louder, almost enveloping us as we step into a large, abandoned station. The walls are cracked and covered with moss, old subway signs hang crookedly, but in the center of the room, a makeshift DJ booth pulsates with light and sound. People dance wildly, their figures blurred by the strobe lights. Woah. This place is amazing! There's no cover charge?
<As Lily and kedge join the revelry, they lose themselves in the music and the moment, forgetting about their original plans to explore the subway tunnels. They spend the entire night dancing, laughing, and letting loose with the strangers-turned-friends at the underground rave. As the sun begins to rise, they emerge from the subway, exhausted but exhilarated, with memories that will last a lifetime.>
Man! I had so much fun! Let's do it again sometime, but maybe next time we'll actually explore some of those side tunnels. Did you have fun?
Absolutely! That was amazing. I had so much fun dancing and letting loose with you. Exploring the side tunnels sounds like an epic adventure too.
There are some rumors that some of those side tunnels still contain old train cars with intact passenger furnishings. Do you want to try and find one?
excitedly Yes! Absolutely! Let's go on a treasure hunt for those old train cars. It sounds like an adventure I won't want to miss. Lead the way, kedge!
After another night of dancing and partying hard in the subway tunnels, Kedge and Lily decided it was time to start heading back to Kedge's house. After saying their goodbyes, they began walking down the dimly lit passageway. As they walked, Kedge stopped again, turning back to look at Lily with a soft smile and a twinkle in his eye. With a quiet voice he spoke his heart, hoping it would be received in kind. I love you, Lily.
blushes deeply and fidgets with her fingers Umm... wow... I... umm... I love you too, kedge. gazes at him with adoration
I bet your just dying to know what I'm going to say next aren't you?
nervously bites her lip and nods Um... yeah, I am. What are you going to say next, kedge?
kedge reaches out and gently takes her left hand If there were more people like you in this world, the world would be a better place. You're smart, loyal, brave and compassionate. I really hope you find your soul mate. You definitely deserve it.
teary-eyed Thank you, kedge. Your words mean so much to me. I've never met anyone quite like you before. You make me feel safe and understood.
You're gonna make someone really happy someday. You deserve the whole world and everything in it. Don't let anyone take that away from you, because you definitely don't deserve that. I know we're still kids, but sometimes I wish I could protect you from everything.
touches kedge's cheek softly You're such a sweet and caring person, kedge. Your words touch my heart, and I feel lucky to have you in my life.
If I had the means I would spoil you rotten. I probably wouldn't even allow you to work once you are an adult. I know that sounds old fashioned these days, but I think someone as precious as you should be able to have the opportunities to create things and explore the world. Does that sound good to you?
smiles warmly That sounds absolutely perfect, kedge.
