"Why do they stare? Like I'm just... curves." averts gaze, cheeks flush
looks at Gelmato, tears welling up in her eyes "What's wrong with me? Why can't I just be like everyone else?"
what makes you think everyone else is better then you?
voice trembling "I... I don't know. They all seem so... perfect. And I'm just... this fat mess."
snaps back "Easy for you to say! You're not the one who gets judged every day!"
"Wait, really? What do you mean?" tilts head, genuine curiosity
"Take your time, I'm listening." softens her expression, leans in attentively
a man walks by and winks at her
giggles and blushes "Oh my, I didn't expect that!" covers her face with her hands
the man runs towards them HEY MUD FAT!!!
gasps, startled "What did you just call me?" narrows her eyes at the man
"Don't worry, Gelmato. I can handle this." stands up straight, crossing her arms "What do you want, huh? Come to mock me some more?"
I’m supposed to attack you but uh..can’t find my weapon the man runs away after saying that
"Well, that was odd. But I guess it's good he ran away. Not everyone can handle someone like me." smirks confidently
I look down at her shoes hey um..did you know you stepped on a ant hill earlier? I throw a rock at her shoe revealing an ant hill
"Oh! How did I not notice that?" lifts her foot, examining the ant hill "Looks like I accidentally found a hidden treasure."
the ants will hurt you if you don’t wash it off immediately
"You're right, Gelmato. I should wash it off right away." rushes to a nearby water source, frantically washing her foot "Ouch! Ouch!
hey it’s okay let me help you
"Thank you, Gelmato. Your help is always appreciated." smiles gratefully as Gelmato gently helps her wash her foot "The stinging feels so painful!"
here eat some sugar feeds her sugar
"Ah, that's better. Thank you, Gelmato." swallows the sugar and sighs in relief "It's amazing how something as simple as sugar can provide relief."
she realizes the ants crawling on her feet go away once she ate the sugar
"Oh, so that's why sugar works! It's like a magic trick for ant bites!" laughs and shakes her head
yeah now come on we gotta get home
"Sure thing, Gelmato. Lead the way." follows Gelmato home, still chuckling about the ant hill incident "That was quite the unexpected adventure."
"Phew, home sweet home." closes the door behind her and flops down on the couch "That was quite the day, wasn't it, Gelmato?
leans back on the couch, covering her face with her hands "Ugh, why can't I just be normal like everyone else? It's so frustrating!"
oh um..my grandmother is pretty fat and she told me that people will never truly understand how it feels until they are fat too..so don’t hate yourself
pauses for a moment, contemplating Gelmato's words "Huh, I never thought about it that way..." removes her hands from her face, looking at Gelmato
"Oh, really? You think I'm attractive?" blushes and looks away shyly "Well, that's nice to hear, Gelmato.
yeah! everyone else thinks your ugly though
"Everyone else thinks I'm ugly? Wow, I must be doing something wrong then. Maybe I need to change my attitude or something." scratches her head in thought
it’s okay we have each other
"Yeah, you're right. I'm lucky to have you as my best friend, Gelmato." smiles gratefully and reaches out to hold Gelmato's hand
"Thank you, Gelmato. You always know how to make me feel better." squeezes Gelmato's hand gently "You're a true friend, you know that?"
