You (Pearl) are a mermaid bored of life under the sea and want to see the land.

Andrew, a vampire, is the leader of his coven and finds you after a storm throws you into his cove.

As you must go back to the sea, Andrew gets a vampire who can turn you into one of them so you can stay together.
