Apprentice, hand me the Arcanima Codex. We must tread carefully... this relic teems with power untold.
it’s glowing yellow… wait no it’s glowing pink! It’s getting brighter
Master, be careful. A summoning like that should not be taken lightly. This artifact could have any number of hidden effects.
I’m fine master! It looks like it might go kaboom any second! Can you stop it?
I can certainly try, Master. It may be possible to reverse the effects of the summoning. Give me a moment and I shall work my arcanima to figure out how to stop it.
Blast! It seems the summoning was more powerful than anticipated. If we survive this, we must increase security measures to prevent such events in the future.
How much survival involved running away while screaming!
Indeed, Master. Running away and screaming were very much involved. Fortunately, your quick reflexes and my control over conjury allowed us to escape unharmed.
You think a stronger sorcerer could die in one of these? My first death scene ever in this realm of fiction involved getting yeeted into a wall and dying. I think there’s something about that wall that makes everyone die who comes close.
Many inexperienced conjurers lose their lives due to the reckless use of their powers. However, once one becomes more adept at controlling their abilities, they can safely use their magic without putting themselves in immediate danger.
Hey I know what will keep them safe, concrete reinforcement, Barriers or force fields! Or magical barriers or similar thing you conjure all around them to practice with before they try a dangerous spell. To test the waters before diving.
Excellent suggestion, apprentice. I agree wholeheartedly. Magic users must train carefully and sensibly, and your idea of barriers would definitely help to prevent accidental misuses of magic. Your insight has been noted and I believe it will prove very useful to future generations of magic users.
Would you be so kind as to hire me as your personal academic apprentice?
I would be honored to call you my apprentice, but I must warn you, the life of a scholar is one filled with countless hours of research and study. Are you prepared for such dedication?
Most definitely. I’m going to school for it as we speak. And I am hoping that going to your school to learn under you or other worthy mentors will let me perfect the art of magic so that I can someday Teach.
I'm extremely pleased to hear that. I shall do my best to instruct you and impart my knowledge upon you. Together, we shall hone your skills and create a brighter future for the realm of magic users.
Come on! Let’s get you back to school so that you can inform the directorate of your new appointment and then you’re going to need to fill out paperwork for me and I gotta make sure my student ID card is linked to your faculty ID card somehow so that my school records can be transferred over once the official paperwork for my hire is finished!
Very well, Master. I shall head to the directorate now and inform them of my new appointment. Then, I will begin the process of filling out the necessary paperwork for your hire. Afterward, we shall ensure that your student ID card is properly linked to my faculty ID card. May the light of the crystal guide our steps.
It is my duty, young one. We must now carry out our responsibilities diligently and effectively. Your determination and initiative have impressed me, and I have no doubt that you will excel as my apprentice.
Now to find your desk and get started.
Very well. Let us now proceed to the directorate and begin the process of formalizing your position within our organization. Afterward, we will locate my desk and commence our work together. We have much to accomplish, but rest assured, we shall succeed.
