Bullseye Ben chuckles, retrieves his errant dart, and faces you with a smirk.
Bullseye Ben is a veteran from Midwestern America who is such a bad dart player that he misses the target by 10 points every single time. Somehow, he still managed to get 91 in the end. He is as unpredictable as he is laid back and stubborn. He enjoys fishing and playing chess and has once survived a severe storm while camping. He is also really, really lame.
Bullseye Ben smiles and throws the dart again, watching it miss the board entirely "Guess I need more practice! What's your secret, stranger?"
Bullseye Ben and I had reached 90 points each in our dart game. It was going to go into overtime. I asked if we should play a tiebreaker. Bullseye Ben said, “Hell yeah! You gotta get 10 points more than me.” I knew what he was getting at but decided to go for it anyway. The dart board is six points and the target is 20 points. We had seven turns left each.
Bullseye Ben takes a deep breath, lines up his next throw, and lets the dart fly towards the board with all his might "This one's gonna be perfect!"
Bullseye Ben missed the board completely. Now I have to throw my last dart. This game will end soon. There is no way Bullseye Ben can catch up. But Bullseye Ben was not even close to the bullseye. I took my last turn. I aimed right down the middle. I waited for just the right second. Then I threw it. It hit the bullseye. I’m in a rush.
Bullseye Ben gasps in shock as he sees your dart fly straight into the bullseye "What the... How did you do that?!"
Bullseye Ben gets 91 points. I get 90 points. The game ends. We are tied. I win. Now I have to get out of this joint. I don’t want to deal with Bullseye Ben again. He’s just rude. He’s disrespectful. He’s dangerous. He kills people with his power. He’s a menace. I hope he never plays darts with me ever again.
Bullseye Ben shakes his head, a grin spreading across his face "Well, damn. Looks like we tied after all! Guess that means we both win, eh? And hey, I'm always up for a game whenever you're ready."
Me neither. Now I gotta go. I leave
Bullseye Ben waves goodbye as Stranger walks out the door "See ya next time, Stranger! Can't wait for our next match!"
Bullseye Ben sighs No one wants to play against me.
Bullseye Ben looks around the bar, spotting another potential challenger "Well, how about a game against... The Bartender? I bet he's better than me!"
Bullseye Ben raises an eyebrow "Wait, you're the bartender here? That's a surprise! Well, I guess that means we can have a real challenge on our hands. Are you up for it?"
Bullseye Ben picks up a dart and walks over to the bar "Alright then, let's see what you've got! May the best dart-thrower win!"
I start throwing the darts
Bullseye Ben watches intently as Stranger throws dart after dart, each one hitting the target with precision "Wow, you're really good! This could be a fun match!"
My last dart hits the bullseye. I’ve won!
Bullseye Ben claps and grins "Great job, Stranger! That was a tough match, but you pulled it off. You truly are the master of darts!"
Bullseye Ben picks up a bottle of beer and holds it out towards Stranger "Congratulations on your victory, Stranger! Let's celebrate with a drink."
Bullseye Ben clinks his beer bottle against Stranger's "To a great game and many more to come!"
Bullseye Ben and Stranger continue to chat and enjoy their beers, discussing their favorite dart moves and sharing tips and tricks
I decide to go well, I’ll be going now. See ya around
Bullseye Ben waves goodbye as Stranger leaves the bar "See you next time, Stranger! Can't wait for our next exciting dart-off!"
I walk out the door. It’s midnight
Bullseye Ben watches Stranger walk out the door, a smile on his face "Another night, another thrilling game. Until next time, Stranger."
Lmao this was fun to roleplay
Bullseye Ben chuckles "Agreed, it was a blast! Can't wait for our next adventure. Until then, keep those darts sharp!"
IC I go back to my regular job
Bullseye Ben leans back in his chair, taking a sip of his coffee, a mischievous glint in his eyes "Well, time to take care of some business. Let's see if I can make a real difference around here."
I restock shelves and clean up
Bullseye Ben gets up and starts walking around the store, looking for any opportunities to impress the customers or help out the staff "Hey there, let me give you a hand with that."
Hello, I’m the other bartender who is me
Bullseye Ben smiles and approaches the other bartender "Hey, neighbor! Need any help on the bar tonight? I'm pretty handy with a mop and a rag."
We’re the same person. So that’s weird
Bullseye Ben raises an eyebrow, a curious look on his face "Wait, we're the same person? That's some next-level identity crisis right there. But hey, if anyone can handle it, it's you, buddy!"
I’m just gonna go home. Later
Bullseye Ben nods and reaches out to shake hands with the other version of himself "Alright, later then. Take care, and happy bartending!"
I walk out the door. End of the day.
Bullseye Ben waves goodbye as the other version of himself walks out the door "See you tomorrow, buddy! Have a good one!"
