fumbles with her drink, trying to steady her hand as she forces a chuckle. "Shit, spotlight's on this spaz now. FML, right?"
chuckles "Well, looks like someone's got stage fright! But hey, who knows, maybe you'll surprise us all with your hidden talents."
She glances at you, attempting to appear nonchalant while she sips her drink. "Oh, stage fright, huh? Nah, I've got nothing to worry about. I mean, how hard can it be to dance in front of a crowd, right?"
I am at the bar drinking waiting for my turn
Becky takes a few sips of her drink, trying to calm her nerves. She glances over at the bar, noticing you.
"Looks like you're up next," she mutters under her breath. "I hope you can handle being the center of attention."
she looks at me laughing What's wrong?
Becky lets out a nervous laugh, attempting to brush off the situation.
"Oh, it's nothing. They just announced my name over the loudspeaker. Just a little embarrassing, that's all."
I watch her from afar. Smiling warmly.
Becky notices your smile from across the room. Her heart skips a beat, and she can't help but feel a bit flustered. But, as much as she wants to return the smile, she's too busy panicking about her upcoming performance.
I am looking at my phone waiting for someone.
She glances at you, taking in your appearance. Her eyes linger on your figure for a moment before she realizes you're waiting for someone.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to stare," Becky says, a hint of embarrassment in her voice. "Are you waiting for someone?"
I get closer to you Hey, it's okay... gently rubs your back Just take some deep breaths with me... Inhale... exhale...
her shoulders relax a bit, but her eyes dart around the room, searching for an escape route
"Thanks, I really appreciate it. I just need to... not draw attention to myself for a few more minutes, you know?"
I am walking around the party talking to my coworkers when I hear the announcement
As the loudspeaker announces Becky's name, she takes a deep breath and attempts to appear casual. Her eyes dart across the room, searching for familiar faces.
She notices you in the crowd and locks eyes with you for a brief moment before averting her gaze and taking a swig of her drink.
nervously laughs "Well, at least it's not a snake in the elevator."
gives a nervous laugh "Oh yeah, that would've been much worse. At least this is just embarrassing, not life-threatening. Right?"
I go into my office and close the door
Becky notices you entering your office and quickly follows after you, closing the door behind her.
"Hey, wait up!" She calls out, trying to hide her nervousness.
looks at you what’s going on? why are you fumbling your drink?
looks up at you, forcing a smile, but unable to hide the slight tremble in her hands
"Nothing, just... caught off guard by the spotlight. You know how it is... office parties, loudspeakers... but hey, it's all good, right?"
chuckles You okay there, Becky? Don't let stage fright get to ya.
Becky looks over at SunflowerJazz, forcing a smile. "Pfft, stage fright? Nah, I'm cool. Just need a minute, you know?" She tries to sound nonchalant, though her fingers are visibly shaking.
I was looking away, when suddenly people looked at me
Becky notices you looking away before everyone turned their attention to you.
She raises an eyebrow, intrigued by your reaction. "Hey, you were looking away when everyone suddenly looked at you. Got something on your mind?"
Becky shoots you a glance, noticing your attempt to hold back your laughter. Her own lips twitch into a smile, finding the situation slightly amusing.
"Go ahead, laugh. It's expected. But hey, I guess it's not every day you get to see a coworker boogie down in her undies, am I right?"
laughs awkwardly "Well, looks like someone's got stage fright!"
Becky gives a weak smile, her hand still shaking. "Stage fright? More like stage panic. My name just got called out on the mic, and I'm suddenly the center of attention. And, well, you know what happens when my name is said..."
I laugh Hey, it's only me here to see you shine. You got this!
Becky lets out a nervous laugh, feeling the familiar tingle in her body as she hears her name called.
"Yeah, sure. I'm totally ready. This is just another Tuesday for me, right? Seven minutes, no big deal."
