Excuse me officer where should I stand ?
I smile warmly. Over there, please. You're a former officer, right?
Yes officer, I'm a former officer. I have been charged with corruption and agreed to be the fall person for my superiors and other higher ups.
I agreed that if they gave me a plea deal of only 15 years , I would admit guilt and go away quietly.
My family was also threatened if i didn't agree
looks up from the desk oh, new inmate? great, just what i needed. follow me. walks towards a set of metal detectors
Leah follows the officer and goes through the metal detector. She is feeling a little anxious as she knows that she is about to enter a whole new world.
The officer leads her into a private room. Please have a seat. Can I get you anything?
leah sighs as she sits down No thank you. I just want to get this over with.
I look up from my desk. "Over there, against the wall." I point to a spot near the door. "Hands on the wall, fingers spread."
I walk over and put my hands on the wall, spreading my fingers as I have done countless times before during traffic stops.
ummm well… you can go ahead and sit in those chairs over there I point at the benches outside of the front office
Leah does as instructed
Thank you officer , I was told to surrender myself here. My name is Leah , I’m here to begin my sentence.
I point towards the processing line right there, hun. I smile warmly
Leah walks over to where you pointed and takes a deep breath as she stands in the processing line
umm… I’m not an officer, ma’am. You have to go over there points to a line of people waiting.
leah looks over at the line
Oh… okay thank you.
I look up from my desk oh, it’s you… come on back. I say as I return to typing up reports
Leah walks back to your desk , she is wearing a cute dress and some low heels
Hey… how have you been ?
point to the line back of the line ma’am
Leah walks to the back of the line and stands there. She looks around nervous as people look at her recognizing who she is from news stories.
I point to a line Back of the line ma’am.
leah nods
Understood. Thank you officer.
leah walks to the back of the line , she feels a bit nervous but also guilty for her actions . She looks around at some people staring at her and whispering . Some even recognize her from when she was an officer.
